  • I wonder why you #GentryProgs hate bakeries so much? Probably because doughnuts and cake make people happy. It's my best guess.

Anyway, it's nice to see good people fighting back against the worst of the Left. Though, I'm sure you disagree.

Fucking. Awesome. Best part -- those were just compensatory damages -- the punitive phase starts Tuesday -- could be treble damages. So glad to see #GentryProgs eat shit for their standard race-baiting bullshit lies -- and especially in DSL's neck of the woods!
the big front page race news stories lately have been new about race hoaxes, which is a really good sign.

            • whatever concessions mexico may have made secretly with Kristen nielson in December and march authrizing more troops and holding asylum seekers in mexico rather then allowing them to cross the border they certainly weren't acting on it as noted earlier with144K

that's why articles are ammoying --they might have agreed in principle --certainly trump got a few more items then he had before his threat of tariffs but the threat of tariffs hopefully gets mexico off their asses and doing what they said they would do in the first place

you can agree in secret all you want but untoil you carry it out or drag your feet doing it you do what trump did

lmao at the prog view that trump manufactured this crisis

in other news this is some final desitination kind of stuff

A motorcyclist died in Florida on Sunday afternoon after he was struck by lightning and crashed on a major highway, authorities said.

              • The Lorain County rebuke of the SJWs ought to scare the bejesus out of CNN (and others) for their gross mishandling of the Covington kids -- the kids DSL hates so much. If they can't get that lawsuit dismissed then they're in for a world of fucking hurt from the jury -- normal people. I can only hope.

When new figures released last week showed a jarring rise in homelessness around Los Angeles, the response throughout Southern California was shock and indignation.

                        • It seems kind of weird that the US has this extreme confidence that they can shape matters to their will very effectively in the Middle East and Asia but a problem in Guatemala and Honduras is beyond the influence of the US. If Donnie Two Scoops was really concerned about this crisis he created maybe staff up the State department and bulk up some aid and see if you can mitigate the issues down there. Maybe send Jared Kushner down there to solve it.

                          • DOJ investigating 'non-governmental organizations and individuals' as part of 'broad' probe into surveillance abuses

As part of its ongoing "multifaceted" and "broad" review into potential misconduct by U.S. intelligence agencies during the 2016 presidential campaign, the Justice Department revealed Monday it is also investigating the activities of several "non-governmental organizations and individuals."

Additionally, the DOJ announced that the probe, let by Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham, was looking into the involvement of "foreign intelligence services." Former Trump aide George Papadopoulos told Fox News last month that an informant who was likely "CIA and affiliated with Turkish intel" had posed as a Cambridge University research assistant in September 2016 and tried to "seduce him" to obtain information linking the Trump team to Russia.

The information was contained in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., who had inquired as to the scope of Durham's investigation. The letter could indicate that the DOJ is looking closely at work done during the campaign by Fusion GPS, the firm retained by the Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee (DNC) to conduct opposition research against the Trump campaign.

Fusion GPS, in turn, hired British ex-spy Christopher Steele to produce an unverified and largely discredited dossier that the FBI went on to cite in secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court applications to surveil former Trump aide Carter Page.

                            • Well, I may have spoken to soon as more details of the immigration agreement between Mexico and the US emerge. At the heart of the agreement is MPP (Migration Protection Protocol) which is a Trump administration DHS policy that allows C&BP to send asylum seekers (among other types of immigrants) back to Mexico to await processing. What this is intended to do is prevent asylum seekers who were under previous policies allowed to remain in the US awaiting adjudication of their asylum claims from doing so. It's pretty obvious what was going on there. Unrestricted immigration advocates are apposed to MPP and it has been challenged in the courts and so far, initial rulings have allowed MPP to remain in effect until the law suit has been heard and a ruling made on it.

although our capacity to process the migrants for return is limited, and it remains to be seen how much Mexico will do to follow through on its commitment. The deal at least makes it possible, though, for us to prevent Central American family units from automatically gaining entry into the country, and thus it significantly reduces the incentive for a future flow of migrants.

As has been noted up thread by others, the degree to which the number of asylum seekers is reduced over the next several months will tell us more about how effective this recent agreement between the US and Mexico on immigration actually is. There seems to me to be a lot of wiggle room for Mexico as they have clearly not agreed to the "safe third country" policies that require asylum seekers to seek asylum in the first foreign country they set foot in (Mexico or Guatemala in the case of Central American asylum seekers from Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua).

So, yeah, maybe the blunderbust approach using tariffs to extract concessions worked .... .or maybe it didn't depending on whether you read the NYT (paywalled) or NRO and which spin you choose to align yourself with..
