I think Trump is an ass-clown, everybody here will agree with that to an extent. I agree he makes the bed he sleeps in. The problem for me is the spectacle created by Congress continuing to shit on him and members of his administration for entirely political purposes. It's a circus involving the egos of those involved, and Trump is a much of a problem in that regard as the Congress is..
Sure, as Froot points out there is a perception, at least nationally, that "President Deals" is a shitty negotiator - the press has made sure to develop that story. I'm not entirely sure that portrayal of Trump is accurate as we aren't flys on the wall in any of the international negotiations Trump is personally involved in or those where people in his administration are representing him. We have intermediate outcomes but, as is the case in all negotiations and all policy initiatives, there is a process and it is usually a long one.
I think the pressure that the US has put on China and NK, those pressures designed to achieve different outcomes, can achieve results beneficial to the US and other nations who might benefit incidentally. I think Iran can be contained as both an international nuclear threat and a destabilizing force in the ME. Nationally, I think the President is spot on with his immigration initiatives even though I may not agree with some aspects of it and how he tries to sell it.
IMO, it remains unhelpful to continue the circus going on in Congress in the context of the pursuit of the Trump administrations valid national and international policy initiatives. If Pelosi can somehow corral those in her party that are intent on gaining a political advantage by continuing investigations, she'd be doing the nation a favor. She's actually, along with other Democrats, given some indication she is interested in doing that.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.Comment

Jeff- All criticism of a sitting President undermines him in some way. So unless you're prepared to argue that no criticism of a sitting President should be voiced, you're going to need to come up with a standard as to what's appropriate and what's not.
