We'll see. Hillary is treating him with kid gloves because her voters include a large percentage of socialists. His programs, when shown the light of day, will make him unelectable.
It would also end my lifelong stint as a registered Democrat. As fast as I possibly can.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
98% of the public knows nothing about Bernie Sanders and has heard only negative things about Trump. Any head-to-head poll involving Sanders is pretty much irrelevant at this point.
Hillary can't afford to alienate the large numbers who are actually enthusiastic about him. Because no one is genuinely enthusiastic about her
Do people vote on general impressions or by closely looking at the issues? At least this year it seems like general impression. Trump sound pissed off and is hated by the Beltway. Soars to the top of the R polls. Bernie sounds pissed off and is pretty much a political outsider. He soars to the top. Trumps's enunciated essentially no policies for his entire campaign. By people who view honesty as the most important quality in a candidate, Bernie's absolutely crushing Hillary.
So I'm unconvinced that Bernie's unelectable. Same conventional wisdom said Trump's campaign was over when he insulted the beloved John McCain about 7 months ago.

This.
The public also knows virtually nothing about what a President Trump would actually do in the White House. Because he hasn't really thought of that yet. But he's still the runaway candidate right now. Because he sounds angry and pissed off and BY GOD HE WON'T TAKE IT!

Exactly.
I thought he would fade long before now and he probably would have if the field was stronger.
I still think one of the establishment guys will eventually get the nod then get steamrolled by Clinton, but who the hell really knows.

At their core, Sanders is still going to seem like a decent, if misguided, human being, even if you think his policies are stupid. Trump's still going to seem like a narcissistic asshole who's already called another candidate a pussy, implied a moderator was on her period because she asked him questions he didn't like, threatened to ban Muslims from entering the US, and pledged to magically force Mexico to build the US an enormous Berlin Wall.
CNN seems to think Kasich coming in 2nd is a disaster for the Establishment Republicans. They really needed Rubio or Bush to finish in that spot because Kasich effectively has no organization in the southern states all voting March 1.
Rubio currently 5th! After all the talk about his great Iowa performance, one disastrous debate has sunk him again. And Christie doesn't gain anything by exposing him...votes all seem to have gone elsewhere

It will be Trump or Cruse in Alabama regardless. The Bible Thumpers like Cruse and the Tea Party likes Trump although there is quite a bit of cross over support by those two groups for both of them.

You have to see what Sanders does now, his appeal among minorities is miniscule.
Trump blasted them.
We'll see. I believe Sanders won among minorities tonight just like Trump did.
I will say that the idea of Sanders quickly going away once voters "know him better" seems to be disproven by what has actually happened in this race. He started off polling around 2-3% didn't he? Hillary was winning in New Hampshire by 20-30 points up until the end of summer.
