        • LOL. Of course she can, shes the fucking Queen. And as a student of the English monarchy myself, having watched the Tudors, the old woman still has a shit ton of power, if not tempered over time. Clearly she can't rule like Victoria but, if anything she's been a steadying influence in GB since she gained the throne.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

            • I think that's why there's not much to talk about, Jeff. I do not believe you now what represents the center, or have the ability to put in context the things that you read, or to use the word pedantry right. It's a special form of bewildering Buchananess that you've put me in the position to point out your misuse of the word pedantry.

              • As if wealthy people aren't hiding income already? We shouldn't do the wrong thing because they could then do the wrong thing? FFS. I think that billionaires are going to treat the rest of us like we're stupid until we prove that we are not.

                  • The reality is that there is no way to pay for the socialist agenda without a significant middle class tax bump. The other reality is that the US has a massively progressive tax rate as it is.

Charles Cooke, as he often does, nails it: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nat...-tax-plan/amp/

                    Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

This response is precisely why I never answered your question.

You are the best example of a pedantic poster on this board that there is. AA says it is so and I second that characterization, so, accept it. Your pedantry is often insufferable and you are the quintessential pedant. Does that work?

Great article. Thanks for the link.

I think that Charles Cook clarifies the corollary to Gates' point - a 70% income tax rate on the wealthy isn't going to generate revenue to pay for AOC's socialist agenda because the wealthy don't have traditional salaries to tax.

So where does the money come from? Well, yes, the middle class.

You got that response because you took a shot at me apropos of nothing.

I largely agree with this. There's also no way to pay for even Trump's agenda without tax increases on somebody.
