There's no question the Ds are going to be tempted to do everything they can to snatch defeat from almost assured victory. My wife lives in mortal fear of that. We'll see who they nominate and how crazy they get. But they're going to have to be deep end crazy to lose. Not saying they can't do it, but I don't think they will.
That said, "so you're saying there's a chance" isn't all that meaningful. I am confidently predicting an Ohio State win over Florida Atlantic to open the 2019 season. There is, of course, a chance they will lose. I think PDJT, in a vacuum, has roughly a 20% chance. If the Ds fuck up the nomination and go brazenly left, then it gets to 50/50, IMO. I mean, they managed to fuck up badly enough to get him elected once.
But right now I'd feel pretty good about betting a large sum of money on PDJT to lose in 2020.

Talent -- prepare to be appalled as the Republican establishment rises to defend AOC, Kamala Harris, etc from the inevitable Trump/Right Wing ridicule.
You're pinning an awful lot of hope on the country still having an anti-Socialist immune system. I'm not sure that we do anymore. At least not enough to feel confident about.

I'm having trouble seeing how this can be simultaenously mainstream Democrat as well as being rejected out of hand by the Speaker of the House, who the Democrats elected. Pelosi is the best definition of mainstream D we have. I'm also having trouble with the "Liberal Media annointed her" comments since there's a steady beat of skepticism. Watchers of the mainstream media are aware that ``But how are you going to pay for all that?" is an angle that accomplishes two things: makes them look balanced for conservatives, and is an easier way to be skeptical than understanding these new ideas they haven't reported on so much.
Either way, I wish climate-change policy didn't have all this other stuff tacked on, some of which is crazy but not all, but it does and that's that. It's great that we're going to be talking about it, at least. She certainly can generate coverage.
Sure. Not as good as I feel now, but sure. I've made lots of mistakes.
If you're argument is that people were wrong in 2016 so they'll be wrong in 2020, then ok. Awesome.
I get it -- you think he's a mortal fucking lock to win in 2020. Understood.
no, the point is those sure he would never be president are certain he will not win reelection. I don't concede defeat two years out lmao, what a way to fight the left.
what a weak loser starting point. no offense. With attitudes like that it's no wonder why the left runs roughshod over the right on everything from culture to narrative.

Kamala Harris, Gillibrand, Warren and Booker have all explicitly endorsed the Palin-Cortez Green New Deal as co-sponsors. Now, perhaps I don't understand D politics, but Harris-Gilibrand-Warren-Booker all in on one bill seems like MAINSTREAM Democrats to me.
She certainly can generate coverage
Indeed. She's a media darling.

On the one hand, Hannibal thinks that I may be overestimating voter resiliency to the Progressive Socialists:

On the other hand, kapture chastises me for thinking that PDJT's election odds are around 20%.
Awesome.

I'm not hiding being shit, just stating conceding defeat two years out is not how you win shit.
I get it. You're predicting a PDJT win in 2020. I'm still unclear as to how predicting defeat is conceding defeat, but whatever. We'll see in 2 years who is right. You're more recent foray into predictions have been totally awesome -- predicting, e.g., minimal losses in 2018. LOL.
Thankfully you are in the minority of those on the right
I'm not in whatever group you're in, that's for sure. Indeed, if whistling past the graveyard is a prerequisite to join any group then I'd rather not.
