Just another reason to hot the eject button. No need to wait for Mueller. Enough damage already.

This sums it up pretty nicely...

It's kind of pointless to harp on every little lie Trump tells, because there's 50 of them a day, but sometimes he's so audacious in his lies that it's fun to call them out. Today he said that "several former Presidents" have told him that they wish they had built the Wall.
Spokespeople for both Clinton and George W Bush have put out statements saying that it wasn't them. So who's he talking about? Carter and Obama? LOL, sure. Did Reagan, Ford, or Nixon tell him this back in 1986 or something? Guess we'll never know.

is again threatening to declare a phony national security emergency and divert military funds to build his wall as he finds his negotiating "skills" failing miserably. How much money would we have to spend ripping down that wall after First Asshat is removed/voted out?

Huh. Go figure. The Smithsonian museums are all shut down, the National Parks are operating on a bare bones basis, but the Park Rangers who operate the historic clock tower at the Trump Hotel in DC will be on the job for the duration of the shutdown. What a blessing.
Tourists frustrated by the federal shutdown still have one amply staffed National Park Service site they can visit _ and it's at the Trump International Hotel. About a half-dozen national park rangers were on duty midday Friday at the historic clock tower at the Washington building housing the Trump

Apparently, Bob Mueller is continuing to find more illegal activity by (hopefully) and his evil boot lickers. The grand jury that has been working with/assigned to the Special Counsel's office has been given a 6 month extension, the maximum allowable. That implies that the amount of criminal activity yet to be examined is substantial. What a surprise.
The grand jury, based in Washington, DC, was seated for an 18-month term that began in July 2017 and was set to expire in the coming days.
Didn't Rudy the Brown Nosed Mouthpiece promise the investigation would end by last Sept 1st? What happens when the federal court system runs out of money in a couple of weeks?
Given the amount of information in the public domain regarding the First Traitor's violations of the emoluments clause, I think that the House should file those impeachment charges without waiting for the Special Counsel's report. (Illegal campaign contributions, the inauguration ticket scams, Saudi funneling of bribes through the Trump Tower room bookings, the FBI headquarters fiasco, failure to place assets into a blind trust, etc, etc, etc). Do not put all of Trump's criminal activity into one impeachment charge. You know the Trumpian deepthroaters would vote to acquit even if there was video of Trump raping babies. Bring forth the court of public opinion, and hammer him over and over. Keep hammering him until he's removed. When the people lead, the leaders will eventually follow.“Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.” - Groucho Marx

This may be a little hard to read but it tracks stock prices of the countries biggest steel producers. The marked date (3/1/18) is when tariffs on imported steel went into effect. (US Steel is down nearly 50% on the year in fact). All five companies now perform below the S&P average, whereas 4 out of 5 were above it before the tariffs.

That's why we have to impeach that motherfucker right now. The damage he's doing is substantial, and that's only what we know about. We can't know the extent to which he's leaking secrets to Putin, but there's a reasonable expectation he is. He's done it in public, to that's probably the top of the iceberg. We may not have enough to convict him for treason in a court of law, but we have enough to say it's time to get him out of a position in which he can do even more damage. If not, then what's the fucking point of having state secrets. Might as well not have a classification system.
The Tlaib thing is has the potential to be quite interesting. The Times decided to pass judgement on it in its finger-not-on-the-pulse-way it has, and then the hashtag exploded on twitter. If there's one thing that unites all Americans it's that they are sick of being lied to in the way that politicians do, and want politicians to talk like regular people. Even if they still lie all the time, apparently. Tlaib's popularity is up, she's headed toward national recognition, and she'll do this again. Probably very soon. She's a shit disturber and just literally can't help herself. Have seen her do it in some of the Gordie Howe/Ambassador Bridge meetings. Other Ds are going to see that it works for her, and I bet the t-shirts and hats will be available within a week.
(That's Canada too, IMO. Trudeau is going to sink or swim based on the carbon tax (which is unfortunate because his opponent is a doughy dullard that likely would have caved on Nafta negotiations), but a solid majority of Canadians find him annoying at least. Ds have to understand this if they're going to get anywhere. You can't keep talking to people in the tone of voice they hate. And people are saying this loud and clear.)

But, it's "the people" voicing discontent about the president and his lying. He remains protected, buffered so to speak, by a Congress politically unable to act in any meaningful way legislatively. What makes you think that motherfucker needs to be impeached now will actually take hold and produce impeachment hearings? BTW, I agree with you. I'm just not confident it will happen.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I agree it's still very unlikely without Mueller making it even more of a no-brainer than it already is -- most Ds are in DC more for themselves than to be public servants, so they're not going to do the right thing. But I think it's more likely now than I did two days ago. Not just because of Tlaib's comments. Extending the grand jury another six months makes it more likely Mueller isn't ready to deliver his full package. I wonder if an interim report is possible.
