"It's all about power" isn't a useful way of looking at it. There isn't any wisdom gained from this.
It's about demographic replacement, and Democrats knowing that they will always have the support of future third world immigrants and at least two generations of their offspring. They are much closer to achieving this goal than people think because they will always also have the support of single women of all races, another growing demographic. It's a perfect coalition for turning the country into Venezuela 2.0. And now that the Constitution is in the shredder, the governing of the country is going to be determined by a demographic head count.
If you think that I'm being overly alarmist then look at how close this year's Texas Senate race is. Ted Cruz isn't a very likeable guy but there's no way that he should be in a close race if that's a secure red state. Texas is likely going to be blue within a generation. California got flipped from being the state that elected Ronald Reagan twice to a state that has decriminalized the spread of AIDS in less than 50 years.

Oh yes. If you catch them on the right day then they will not only cop to it but gleefully and smugly rub your face in it. Of course the next day they will deny it and claim that it is a paranoid Nazi conspiracy theory, which is what they have been doing in Europe for the past few years now that they have been outed.

This whole 'issue' is simply Chump keeping himself in the spotlight. He won't even sign the EO - every judge, especially conservative ones, will overturn any action in a NY second. If he wants to tell the world that he's willing to wipe his butt with the Constitution, this is his opportunity. The broad spectrum rejection the EO would generate something that could not possibly twisted into a "win", even by delusional Trump standards. But then again, he might do it and take the friction. He's already gleefully called 'some' Nazis as 'good people' without retraction. It may be that the attention gratification is more important than if its good or bad. He's for good reason.

How isn't it about power? Once they give citizenship to the illegal immigrants for the sole purpose of gaining their vote, they will have unlimited power to fulfill their goal of turning America into a shithole over which they rule.
