I wonder if that's an attempt to placate Erdogan. Turkey has for decades been handsoff with the patriarchy and that in recent years has been changing. Though I'm not sure what beef Erdogan would have with Russia lately. The shot-down plane battle remains unfought. Not sure what the incentive would be. Gas supply agreements are in place, IIRC. Maybe it's pipeline politics?

is scrambling for an excuse not to cancel a $110B military sales deal due to a Saudi murder. Turkey has informed the US that it has both audio visual recordings of the execution.
Putin's cock holster is using very similar verbiage accepting the Saudi's "strong denial" as he did disputing the findings of the US (and the rest of the world's) intelligence communities in regards to Russia's election meddling.

So the Saudis have gone from "we had nothing to do with his disappearance! Don't believe Iran's lies about us! We will destroy the world's economy if you won't believe us!"
to
"Yeah we only planned to interrogate him, get in some light torture, then kidnap him back to Saudi Arabia where he could rot in prison. Weren't expecting him to die. These were rogue agents! Acting without orders!"

Bad news for 'Chief Spreading Bull'
Cherokee Nation slams Elizabeth Warren's DNA test as 'inappropriate and wrong'
"A DNA test is useless to determine tribal citizenship," Hoskin said in the statement Monday, which was released by the tribe. "Current DNA tests do not even distinguish whether a person's ancestors were indigenous to North or South America. The Cherokee Nation has been hesitant to wade into the debate, making Monday's rebuke a rarity. The tribe's chief, Bill Baker, is a Democrat.
