midterms. October surprise in September, unredacted and ahead of schedule.
It likely won't affect elections unless the Republicans band together to make "articles of impeachment" and "Deep State" actual election issues. I don't believe that whatever is about to be released is going to implicate anyone who is up for reelection, so it has to be framed ideologically. And that is something that the Republicans have sucked balls at. They were dragged kicking and screaming to victory in 2010 and 2014.
But if it's what we expect, it will have significant long term effect. Proof that our nation's intelligence apparatus was used illegally for the purposes of partisan politics will show that we are now essentially a Banana Republic. And the fact that this was done in concert with a heavily biased news media will destroy what is left of their credibility too. If we're really lucky, it will wake up a few Cuckservatives to what we're really facing. It's never a good look when Alex Jones gets to say "I told you so".

Americans rate Donald Trump's ethical standards lower than those of any other U.S. president elected in the past 50 years. Partisans' views differ sharply.

my point is whatever % of people that cant see themselves vote for a candidate endorsed by Trump while there is a question of his legitimacy as president hanging in the air over this Mueller investigation. Or the number of people that have been successfully beaten down by the left with nonstop Russiagate talk for two years that were going to sit this election cycle out.
There is a %, it is probably small % but there are a number of folks out there where it matters.
I honestly think the left's reaction and behavior over this Kavanaugh confirmation effects the elections far more. To me it is understandable that the Democrats used the FBI as their own, illegal counterintelligence agency in 2016, but the notion that they are going to investigate this accusation because they demand it is laughable. Furthermore and more important, the left is loudly calling for the end of the absolute crown jewel of Western Civilization, they want it torn down. They want to throw out common law, to deny the rights of the accused and toss out the single greatest contribution to the world, the Anglo-American Judicial System, all in the name of #MeToo social justice. They are doing this out in the open, for the entire world to witness. I can't find the clip except on twitter
Where CNN's Brooke Baldwin pushes back on the notion of due process for the accused because the accuser is a woman
and the left is celebrating this garbage.
Andrew Klavan is correct in saying that he disagrees with Bush when he use to say "every beating heart yearns to beat free". Accused rights and the presumption of innocence are new concepts in human history, and it took thousands of years to get here.

Canada's right-wing paper published a story explaining how a right-wing policy wonk studied the left-wing ruling party's carbon tax, and found that it would actually put more money in people's pockets. Didn't spin his conclusions. Possibly has forced his own party to rethink its own campaign strategy.
The study, which will be released next week, is by Canadians for Clean Prosperity, a non-partisan group led by Mark Cameron, ex-policy director to Stephen Harper
Michael Bloomberg, the billionaire media mogul and former New York mayor, is seriously considering a run for the presidency in 2020 — as a centrist Democrat.
That's sad. Michael Bloomberg is a paranoid jerk, but, having worked for him in several roles, I think he's exactly what we need because he's a slave to the data. We need evidence-based policy, and that's all he'll do. Not the guy that's going to clean up the financial sector or campaign finance, but if we spent an election cycle absorbing the need to work from a position of information as opposed to ideology, we'll all be better off once it's time to replace late capitalism with its next iteration.
