  • Here is Trump complaining that Jeff Sessions won't run the DOJ the way Trump thinks it ought to be run: to exclusively benefit himself and his political allies

Sessions will be gone after the election and there needs to be significant pressure put on Congress to not rubber stamp a Trump yes-man

EDIT: BTW, only Duncan Hunter's stuff dates back into the Obama years. The investigation of Chris Collins began during Trump's presidency.

      • I think he'll wait till after the election then fire him. Even he knows it'll look terrible and hurt the R's if he does it just a few weeks before.

Like I said, there will need to be extreme pressure put on McConnell & Company to let them know a hack like Giuliani is unacceptable.

It will go a lot better than the liberal boycott of In-and-Out Burger is going
California state Democrats are distancing themselves from the state partys chief after he called for the boycott of a beloved burger chain after it donated cash to the states Republican Party.

              • Eh, he'll wait until after the midterms. Several Republicans have privately stated that they will hold up any confirmation of a new AG if Trump fires Sessions. With re-election pressure off the table, he'll do it then. Firing Sessions would outrage all but the Trumpanzee goo-gobblers and that very well could cause a 'blue wave'.

                • Anyone listening to the Slate podcast called Slow Burn? Season 1 was ``stuff we think you probably never knew about Watergate", and season 2 is the same for the Clinton impeachment. That approach is not comprehensive, i.e. there's no sense in Season 1 at all of how Woodstein pushed the story, but there's lots of interesting detail. My takeaway thus far is that this system has always been pretty damn partisan. Some of the stuff I heard about Watergate and reaction to it was very similar to what's ongoing now.

                          • If you are an average QB, or possibly even better than average, there is a spot for you in the NFL. If that comes with a TON of negative attention, then good luck.

I think it was Baltimore that was working out a deal with him and about to sign him when his girlfriend tweeted out a meme that compared the Ravens owner to a slave master. This is why he doesn't have a job today. He is at least as good as the NFL backup QBs, but the difference with those other average players is they don't bring that negative attention to the organizations. There is leeway when you're a star, Kaep is not that.

                            • He doesn't want a back-up role and he doesn't want back-up dollars. The Seahawks were rumored to have made an attempt to sign him, too. He allegedly wanted many more dollars than they would offer.
