Rudy Giuliani suggests Manafort shouldn't go to prison because white-collar crimes really aren't crimes worth imprisoning someone over. Says the jury was clearly wrong. This is where we're at in Trump's America. What a pathetic and embarrassing end to this man's career.

I myself am not convinced that it would be a pathetic and embarrassing end to American democracy, but the chickens little that do say that stuff have been proven right thus far at every step. If this whole thing isn't followed by a massive reform of the laws that constrain the behaviour of public servants, well, I don't know what would trigger that clearly necessary set of reforms.Comment

I don't want to paint it like we're friends, we are not, but I have talked with him, and I believe he sincerely tries to act in a just and honest manner. His beliefs are different than mine, but he has a developed moral compass that guides him even when it's not to his personal benefit to chose that path.
