Interesting speculation re: gerrymandering and the Supreme Court. They added a second case where its the Dems doing the shameful redistricting. Sort of suggests the Supremes are inclined to crack down on gerrymandering to a degree but don't want it to look partisan.

First, a random comment -- I remember back when folks specifically encouraged "majority minority" districts as Constitutionally and legislatively required.
Second, I really can't fathom how ridiculous it's going to be to have Courts drawing districts.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

I love the honesty, i hope they make it a central issue in EVERY campaign. There is nothing that will light a fire under the right's ass than the left trying to repeal the second amendment.
I think the Progs should trot out Boss Hogg and the rest of the politicized Marjory students for a September-October tour of the Heartland. I think voters there would enjoy his talks.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

About damn time. Politicians are like 3 year oldss in that they can't be left unsupervised. Gerrymandering illustrates that politicos don't give a rat's ass about their constituents - all they care about is re-election.
Politicians should be limited to two terms - one in office and one in prison.Last edited by Ghengis Jon; March 28, 2018, 01:35 PM.“Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.” - Groucho Marx

Question for the legal beagles. Flynn takes a plea deal and he's currently singing like a canary. Chump pardons Flynn so he clams up and announces he's taking a long European vacation and not available for testimony in criminal cases.
Question 1: Knowing full well Flynn would make himself scarce, is it obstruction of justice to issue a pardon with the intent of preventing testimony?
Question 2: If someone is pardoned, can they be compelled to testify since the 5th amendment doesn't come into play due to the pardon?“Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.” - Groucho Marx

Wait a minute. Trump has steadfastly denied any of that ever occurred. Are you calling your President a morally bankrupt adulterous habitual liar? Geezer! You've opened your eyes!
Frankly, the President who was a "morally bankrupt adulterous habitual liar" was Bill Clinton. When Trump acted out, it was with famous and beautiful women. Clinton stuck cigars into the pussies of subordinates, let the cigars marinate, and later walked around his office with those cigars in his mouth. That, to me, seems depraved.
BTW, Hillary claims they have an open marriage. Why would it be so strange for Trump and Melania to have the same arrangement?
