Maybe McCabe earned his firing. Maybe there really was a good, objective process and justifiable decision made in the end. But Trump can't help himself. This post undermines all of that. He's got to taunt, got to gloat, so a reasonable person reading this is going to think...y'know, whatever reason they give for firing McCabe is maybe just a pretext.
I'll reiterate again a couple of points I made earlier in the week...the IG who recommended McCabe be fired is an Bush/Obama appointee and the same guy Trump has bashed as untrustworthy. Secondly, McCabe is being fired, just like Jim Comey, for releasing info that was damaging to Hillary Clinton, not Donald Trump.
And McCabe had left back in January and was using built up time to get to the finish line. Sunday was his birthday and he could have started to draw his pension. Because he was fired he has to wait years now. Not like the guy is hurting for money but a really dickish move. Trump and Company extending a tiny middle finger to him.
2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR
So relevant to the Qualcomm discussion, Geely has acquired almost 10% of Daimler but went out of its way to conceal it using shell cos. On discovery of this stealt amassing of a major stake, CEO told German media it's a commercial transaction; Chinese media that it will help with national-development goals. Germany is freaked out. In Wednesday's FT. Legit concerns.
reply with new premise as though defending initial premise:
-men have capacity to do "great" evil
Entirely different point that NO one would dispute.
Millen, I was continuing a long-running philosophical debate I have with hack. This is way above your head, and your responses are childish.
Would you like to argue the position that man is inherently good? If so, I'll point you to Plato, Aristotle, and St Augustine (and Catholic theology) for starters. So rather than being juvenile, make your case that man is good. Remember, you progs are always and forever looking for the right man to lead us so we can have heaven on earth. It is just a fact that such a man has never materialized in human history, but you socialists keep searching, and, I might add, mocking those of us who base their philosophy on actual observation of facts and are able to predict which governmental initiatives might work toward the betterment of the average citizen. Almost always, those actions involve letting workers keep their money or disbursing power to the several states.
"Power tends to corrupt. Absolute power corrupts absolutely". Millen, I'd suggest you study some of the quotes by Lord John Acton. To hack's credit, he recognizes that man's nature is evil, so he and I argue on the periphery of the outcomes that that basic truth implies.

Goodness, Whitley, you talk like a governmental employee putting in her time to collect a pension. McCabe leaked classified material to the press and he authorized others to leak such material. He violated the Espionage Act, and he should be prosecuted for treason.
Whitley, the best way to address the shortfall in social security would be to mandate that citizens may only receive one government pension. That would stop a lot of double dipping.
OJ Simpson endorses Chump in an interview with the Buffalo News.
"The one thing I can say about The Donald is The Donald is fun," Simpson said. "Well, for a dude — and I consider myself a dude — Donald is a man's man."
Another win for Trump!

But, have at it. "Man is good........" now what?
Rgr,
Clearly my post was directed at Kapture. I have no interest in derailing whatever convo you are having w/ hack.
I don't dispute power propensity to corrupt. I don't dispute people's constant and great capacity to enact evil. Who disputes that?
But those are all different, although related, claims from the premise that people are inherently evil -- unless there is some caveat to that I'm not privy to.
I commend your preloaded criticism of socialist progs. It is impressive to recall that diatribe so thoroughly.
i benefit greatly from the military industrial complex and although I fall center left on a few social issues, my continued occupancy pretty much eliminates any designation you are likely to hurl out of obvious reflex.
Please include sophomoric next time for the ultimate reduancy trifecta. Scathing.
When the full extent of your venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption becomes known, you will take your rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history. You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but you will not destroy America...America will triumph over you.
Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Sure, fine. But he'll never be worse than Dick Cheney. We may need to have a truth commission on that one too. Can't have his bust in the capitol and still consider ourselves against corruption.
