Not that big of a Haley fan, but she would be better than Pence.

Once again DSL, I'd encourage you to read the articles you post. That CBS article says:
Meanwhile, following that initial tax cut, Reagan actually ended up raising taxes - eleven times. That's according to former Republican Sen. Alan Simpson, a longtime Reagan friend who co-chaired President Obama's fiscal commission that last year offered a deficit reduction proposal.
The tax cut the 2011 (!) article deals with is the 1982-3 tax cut. Reagan's signature tax cut was in 1986. This is becoming a pattern, my friend, telling part of the story. When the 1982 cuts went into effect in 1983 (I've already written how stupid it is to delay cuts) the GDP grew at an annualized rate of 8% for the next 18 months.
Frankly, most of you fellows have never lived in a "growth economy". That is what the Rs are betting on with this bill. The Obama administration told us that growth of 1.5% was the new normal. That has never been true.
The only thing I would ask is that those of you who pay income tax, pay attention to what actually happens. I suspect most of you progs won't accept empirical evidence, but it will be out there. Shoot, it is out there today. One company took their "windfall" and applied it to future pension obligations. The rising stock market helps every pension program, 401(k), or IRA in the country. That helps everyone. The child tax credit has been doubled, lowering the tax on a single mother with 3 kids by 70%. What is wrong with that?
The bill also contains enterprise zones, which should appeal to Hack. That means that if a company locates a factory in an inner city, all FIT is waived for the plant, and property and local taxes are fully subsidized. What is wrong with that?
The Dem line this morning is that in 2025, there will be a substantial tax increase that will affect 84 million people. That is the sunset date for the individual tax cuts (so the code returns to the exact code that existed prior to yesterday's cut), but the MSM will absolutely hammer that for the next year. Watch.

A little over a year ago today victory was declared after Carrier got a tax break to preserve jobs in Indiana. Carrier didn't follow through on that and got its tax break anyways, demonstrating that Trump knows how to win the news cycle. I think the logic of "tax cut + one day = investment!!!" is pretty shaky, and speaks to perhaps a misunderstanding of how multinationals budget for capital expenditure. In the case of Comcast and AT&T, it's pretty relevant that they just won the net neutrality issue. In essence we've reduced economic competitiveness in the future to get something that looks like it might be capital investment now. We'll see if that's a false economy in the future. As with all of it. These are a handful of anecdotes, the type of which we know we ought to be skeptical of. I don't think a handful of iffy anecdotes beat decades of data.

I'm not sure about taking Wizard over Pence. The Haley thing is weird, she was anti-Trump at one point yet somehow became UN ambassador. Now she is taking names, she is an impressive speaker but she is all over the place. She seems like a cipher to me. She seems like the type you might nominate to the the SC and would turn into a Souter.

Perhaps it would be well for you progs to actually watch what Sen Scott said at the rally yesterday:
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3-oRnsCZHM"]Tim Scott's White House Remarks on Tax Reform - YouTube[/ame]
There is no hatred in America today as fierce as that against a black guy who refuses to stay down on the Dem plantation.
