I was entirely ready to believe the accusers were ginned up by political opponents until the Moore camp spin came out. So bad. Easy confirmation.

      • It amazes me that someone outiside the bible-thumping backwoods of Alabama can support and defend Roy Moore. Boggles the mind. He was a horrible jurist, and paid himself over a million dollars from the charity he ran - even if you ignore the mounting sexual harassment claims.

He wasn't even Trump's pick. Trump put all his chips behind Luther Strange - which was the right choice. Hell, most of my pro-Trump friends here have disowned him and are looking for a way out. They will still vote for him if it comes down between him and Doug Jones (D), but they would love to have a viable alternative (Sessions, Strange, whomever).

I find it amusing after he groped her that she asked him to sign her yearbook. or maybe he forced himself on her yearbook

My kid lives in boulder--looks a lot younger then he is (33) is banging a variety of freshman and sophomore univ of college students--so they must be 18-20 years old

hope he doesn't run for senate
the other interesting thing with moore is his wife and him have been married since 85

          so basically 35 years

usually perverts show there true colors and continue to be predators most of there life

moore seems to be the opposite--no evidence of anything othere then these claims by teenagers stemming from 40 plus years ago

I went to my 9th grade grandsons graduation last year

for graduation some of these 9th grade girls looked like strippers with their lowcut short dresses and high heels--I would have never guessed they were 13-14 years old. most could pass for 21 compared to my class

this boils down to the smnot nosed lady and the other 14 yo if they have a case he should resign
I just find it funny the one 14 y/o claims groping how much it affected her then says here sign my yearbook
Everything about this post is gross

          • the other big headlines is trump junior corresponding with wikileaks

lead story stop the presses get ready to impeach--trump jr corresponded with 3 replies to wikileaks all in 1 month in October 2016. no doubt they were colluding

            here's 2 of the tweets

Trump Jr. replied: “Already did that earlier today. It’s amazing what she can get away with.”
Two minutes later, Trump Jr. sent another message: “What’s behind this Wednesday leak I keep reading about?”

            certainly earthshattering stuff

hopefully Mueller indicts himn soon and gets the little arrogant prick off the streets

Yeah. Over 5 or 6 years. When the charity couldn't afford to pay his $180,000/yr part-time salary anymore he took promissory notes and essentially holds the lein to the historic building in Montgomery that housed the "charity".

                  • He has more in common with a Nigerian preacher or Middle Eastern village imam than he does with the average American. These people are all the fucking same no matter where they come from, what they believe, or what little girls they prey on.

...and there it is in a nutshell; they would prefer a corrupt pedophile over a Democrat.

Insofar as high-level strategy goes, what do to the Ds do to change that perception and possibly win a few southern states once in a while? Or does this thinking demonstrate that its an utterly Lost Cause?

                        • Just IMO, but it's a lost cause. Focus on nailing the parts of the country you can get. It's going to take some generational rollover in other parts. One thing they might want to focus on is a long-term strategy to handle Breitbarts and Sinclair Broadcastings and that type. A new Fairness Doctrine or something. It would be criminal to allow any more of the broadcast spectrum in the hands of Sinclair. The broadcast spectrum is a public good.

                          • And make no mistake, I am no Doug Jones fan. He is shady at best. Alabama, Louisiana, and Chicago are tied for the worst/most corrupt politicians, but Alabama is trying hard to become #1. Roll Tide.

Would it make any difference if he were saintly though?
