I have always said cutter, but heard a Saudi on the Beeb say kuh-TAR. Wondered if there are multiple acceptable pronunciations, if I was wrong, or if this was Saudi sass.

Crazy that a South Carolina seat could end up having been closer than the Georgia one..double edge sword of pumping in one money to a particular race...it energizes the other side as well, even if they aren't Trump fans.
The worst part of Karen Handel's victory speech was her thanking, "most of all," Speaker Ryan for his support. She'll toe the Republican party line. Ossoff, OTH, would have been his own Democrat despite being identified during his campaign as Pelosi's lap dog. The PAC's of the Dems heavily subsidized Ossoff's campaign......which is going to be a Democratic party modus operandi going forward where any Deomocratic challenger having a chance to unseat a Dem is going to get massive support.
I don't think Handel is a Freedom Caucus type at all though. She also was very careful to distance herself from Trump during her campaign and that is likely due to the 6th District in GA generally viewing Trump unfavorably.
Ossoff won one of the 3 counties that comprises the 6th district: Dekalb. Dekalb lies North and East of the city of Atlanta. it is also heavily Africa American and quite affluent. His margin there was something like 58/42. But Handel won the other two counties easily off-setting Ossoff's big margin in Dekalb County. The Dems will take some justified solace in Ossoff's popularity among AAs and will continue to work that sector of the voters nation wide. A good strategy I would think.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
