The government controls the sun and wind, and you can't think of a single reason why location on a coast presents a problem. Short memory or just fucking crazy? Either way, selective Googling is a hell of a drug.
Look, I enjoy talking political theory with you, and the once-a-quarter explanation of how power corrupts and all that, but if we can't agree on some basic facts, then your claims of some sort of contradiction look silly. Ivory tower theoretical bullshit. Commerce has just by-and-large purchased government, and here you are babbling on about the power of government. Utter nonsense.
President Donald Trump completely snubbed German Chancellor Angela Merkel in a meeting in the Oval Office Friday, ignoring her when she leaned over to ask for a handshake.

As I said, I can see why locating on a coast is necessary for the amount of water that needs to be used. I can see where locating over tectonic plates is not advisable. Why is it stupid to locate a nuclear plant on the coast where I live? Certainly, you don't believe the oceans are going to rise that much?
I said:
....Government controls the inputs of wind and sun. Little wonder government wants to encourage their use.
I stand corrected, very poorly said. Government controls (1) the permitting process, (2) the mandate for other forms of electricity production to be on hand when green production is intermittent, (3) the direct subsidies to producers of GE, (4) the direct subsidies to the consumers of GE, and (5) the uneven regulation of GE vs. carbon-based forms of generation.
Wind and sun are common goods. I was focusing on control of inputs.
