        • Just curious. If we do have a transfer or two, or even if we don't, is there any top recruit out there that M is in the hunt for that may look at McGary's commitment as a sign that they should jump on board

          • Thanks, JD!

That could be a very good squad. I hope everybody sticks around...

As far as I know mackenzie, there are no more schollies available for 2012 or 13.

                • Oh yeah -- Traylor's SR season Ellerbe won the B10 tourney, no?

Anyhow, it'll be interesting to see how Morgan does without Morris feeding him. Hopefully he can be a good inside mule paired with McGary; I think he can. Still hopes for Horford too. Smot, IMO, I dunno. Molasses feet and passive. Ideal in the system, but I not high hopes.

                  • Well, we already have a full class for 2013 so we aren't going to be able to capitalize on any Juniors out there.

In fact, I think we might be over the limit if we keep Austin Hatch on. As far as I know, he has yet to return to school so he might reclassify as a 2014 grad.

This only comes into play if he has a full recovery. Whether he does or not, I think he will get a scholarship to come to Ann Arbor. Michigan will take care of him as best as they can. If he's unable to play, I don't think it will count against the team's allotted scholarships.

Traylor's Junior season. He left after that and was the jewel of the Dallas Mavericks' draft.....up until they foolishly gave him up to the Bucks for some ferner named Dirk or something. I'm not sure what happened to that guy....

                      • Right -- Traylor's last season. LOL, I recall seeing the article in May of that year -- ``Traylor at his most svelte ahead of draft''. SHOCKER.

                        • Dude thinks Michigan can compete for a national title in his first season:

                          • I don't disagree with that. If he's everything he seems to be and Hardaway returns, I think they could be a Final Four contending team. Of course, a lot depends on how good Trey Burke winds up being.

I think he'll be a very good player.

                            • JD-- Can you compare Burke to Darius Morris?

                              • Shorter, smaller, quicker, seemingly has a better handle but not as good a passer as what we saw out of DM this past year. Better jumpshot.

I posted some highlight videos a while back but I will repost in the 2011-12 Michigan Men's Basketball thread, since he's no longer a recruit.
