    • In one of the biggest non-surprises of the 2000's, Emoni Bates has committed to MSU. I think this was determined when he was in 6th grade or so, but today he makes it official.

I'd guess there's still not a great chance that he ever sets foot on their court in an MSU uniform. If anyone in this One-and-done/G-League/Overseas-era should go pro out of High School, it's Bates.

        • Commit Isaiah Barnes slips back and Will Tschetter gets ranked. Also, Cleveland and Bufkin are playing some kind of AAU ball (and playing well) so they may get a boost soon.

          • We just made Matthew Cleveland's Final 5. He would be a very good get.

Michigan is also rumored to be showing interest in Matt Cleveland's AAU teammate, SF Kaleb Washington. Washington is ranked #120 overall. No offer yet.

              • Two Crystal Balls have come in for Tschetter, from Sam Webb and Josh H. There's talk he may commit to Michigan this week. With such a big class, I don't mind a couple of fliers being in the mix. Guys with talent but that are more of the 4-year player variety. Tschetter fits that description. Barnes may be more of a sneaky-good type. Tschetter is also the kind of player that isn't going to scare off a higher-ranked PF from coming to A2.

                Here are Tschetter highlights:

                • And, just because, here's the 2022 Offer List. With the elimination of Emoni Bates, Michigan still has 16 standing offers:

                  #2 Jalen Duren
                  #7 Caleb Houstan
                  #8 Jarace Walker
                  #9 Jaden Bradley
                  #18 Skyy Clark
                  #24 AJ Casey
                  #25 Justice Williams
                  #27 Chance Westry
                  #28 Eric Dailey
                  #36 Gregg Glenn
                  #41 Dug McDaniel
                  #42 Dylan Anderson
                  #59 Jett Howard
                  # 65 Ty Rodgers
                  #79 Colin Smith
                  Unranked- Fletcher Loyer

BTW- The Loyer family recently moved from Michigan to Indiana.

Also, Jett Howard is now at the IMG Academy and several of Michigan's existing offers for both '21 & '22 are to Jett's teammates. So, even though Jett has said he's keeping his options open, that may help. At the very least (if there's a season) Juwan will likely attend a lot of IMG games that other coaches can't.

                  • Now ready to slowplay the others outside the top 30. One of Bediako or Reid would be wonderful, then some mix of Cleveland, Warley and Ingram. Need to have room for those guys.

                    • Tschetter commits to Michigan.

                      • 3 Crystal Ball predictions in this morning for Kobe Bufkin to Michigan. Some message board talk that he may even join Tschetter in committing today.

Also, Michigan's gone up to the #13 ranked class from #39.

                        • Now, it's sounding like Bufkin may be waiting a few more days but 3 more CB's have come in for him to Michigan today.

                          • So, as is my way, here's the updated list:

                            #149 Will Tschetter

                            Contending with:

#2 Patrick Baldwin Jr. (Final 10)
                            #3 Chet Holmgren (Final 7)
                            #6 Jaden Hardy
                            #8 Michael Foster
                            #13 Max Christie
                            #15 Harrison Ingram (Final 10)
                            #16 Trevor Keels
                            #17 Peyton Watson
                            #18 Moussa Diabate
                            #20 Charles Bediako (Final 10)

                            #24 Matthew Cleveland (Final 5)
                            #48 Quincy Allen

                            #64 Brandon Weston
                            #71 Jaden Aikens
#78 Kobe Bufkin Rumored to be committing to UofM soon
                            #117 Angelo Brizzi

If Bufkin comes aboard, I think that might take Aikens and maybe Brizzi out of the running.
