Nah. Q is a very solid team. They're legit. The Goofers are outstanding. I'd make them clear favorite. But, Quinnipiac makes it really hard to move the puck through the zones. They're a little like the detestable 90s Devils.

Michigan wasn't going to beat the Goofers anyway, but they should be playing in the NC game. Q is a very good team, but M should have been able to handle them.

Not sure what this means for next season. M has a bunch of guys who can opt for the NHL. (if I understand the rules correctly, .. Mike?)

The point is that TCU was legitimately really not good. Quinnipiac is legitimately good and it's hockey. I really doubt M underestimated a team the quality of Q.

You play a best of 7 in the NHL. Shit, man -- M won the B10 tournament. They are not, over the course of a season or series, better than the fucking asshat Goofers. But for those 60 minutes they were.

Liney, Quinnipiac is a legit hockey school. We were in the blues last night for a reason. I'd also rather lose to them in the semis than Minnesota in the final but damn, I was allowing myself to think we might take it this year just out of pure hockey randomness. Michigan beat Minnesota twice this season at Mariucci so I wouldn't concede anything to them.

I hate to bag on the goalie but Portillo didn't do his team many favors last night. The 4th goal and dagger was inexcusable and effectively ended the game with 7 minutes left.

Yes, there will be guys that leave for the NHL immediately. Hughes will likely join his brother Jack in New Jersey within days and he'll be in the rotation during their playoff run. Fantilli hasn't been drafted yet but he is expected to go 2nd overall this June. I'd be very surprised if he returns.
