OSU in a pretty bad spot — chasing a goal against Q. Gave up 2 in 15s in the first. Down 2-1 after 1. Dominated 2nd — 15-3 on shots. But nothing.

First full M hockey game I've watched. Two teams with very different styles of play produced a great college hockey game. M beats PSU 52 sec. into OT 2-1. 27th Frozen Four appearance. Samosivich (sp.??) with a clean blistering slap shot made possible by M's first uncontested penetration of a stifling PSU D that produced way too many neutral zone turnovers (frustrating to watch!). Supposedly Q plays the same kind of defense. I'll be on the road and can't watch.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.Comment

Goddamn, that was great. Chalk one up for the good guys who were clearly the better team. Having been on the wrong side of so many NCAA tourney games like that made it all the sweeter.

And I'm still convinced that the NCAA was hoping for the upset by effectively making a #1 seed play at a disadvantage to the lower seed, by giving PSU a home game. But, the good guys prevail anyway.
