  • I don't really know if it's Day or Chip Kelly calling the plays but after that drive at the end of the first half I thought they were finally pulling their head out of their ass.

Nope. Went right back to the bullshit That delayed handoff to Henderson for 1 yard on 3 and 10 was the cherry on the shit sundae. Followed up by the missed FG.

Granted Howard is somewhat limited but man.....

    • 13-10 is your final, for the first great win of the Sherrone Moore era. It was ugly as hell. Sometimes, ugly is the best kind of beautiful. Ohio State choked in nearly every way possible, and Michigan did all they could on offense, which was hardly anything and yet was somehow enough. In a sixty-minute rock fight, Michigan found one last rock.

          • It's going to take a while to process this one. It has been a while since we had an end-of-year season salvager like this, and let's make no mistake, this was absolutely that. The entire season will forever feel different now. Not good mind you, but the happy ending puts a hugely positive spin on it.

I don't know where OSU goes after this one. This is far and away OSU's worst loss to us since at least 1996. We know what happened to that OSU coach and the dynamic today felt an awful lot like that. But remember that Cooper still coaches four more seasons after that one, because they needed more than shitty losses to Michigan to fire the guy. If you are OSU, do you fire a 10-2 guy? I don't think that they do, but OSU will have absolutely zero tolerance at this point for a 4 loss season or maybe even a 3 loss one.

                • In the land of the Big Ten, where gridiron glory reigns,
A tale of underdogs and giants, of triumph and heart-wrenching pains.
Michigan, the Wolverines, with hearts ablaze,
Faced Ohio State, the Buckeyes, with skill and dazzling gaze.
The Buckeyes, mighty and strong, with talent on their side,
Were favored to win, their victory to abide.
But Michigan, undaunted and bold, with spirit unbroken,
Charged forward, their will unshaken, their hearts unspoken.
The game was fierce, the battle raged, the outcome unsure,
As Michigan's defense, like a wall, the Buckeyes' offense did endure.
The Wolverines' quarterback, with arm of might,
Led his team, with precision and light.
The Buckeyes, with Heisman hopefuls, and stars in their fold,
Were expected to dominate, their victory to unfold.
But Michigan's underdogs, with determination in their eyes,
Refused to back down, their spirit never compromised.
The final score, 13-10, a margin so slim,
Told the tale of a game, where every play was a whim.
The Buckeyes, with hearts heavy, their dreams shattered and cold,
Walked off the field, with tears, their season's story untold.
Their coach, with face fallen, his words of dismay,
Tried to explain, the why, of a game gone astray.
"We choked," he said, with a voice so low,
"We had it all, but let it slip, and now it's gone, oh so slow."
But Michigan's joy, was unbridled and free,
As they celebrated, their upset victory.
Their players, with smiles, and tears of delight,
Hugged each other, in a moment, so pure and bright.
Their coach, with pride, and a heart so full,
Praised his team, for their courage, and will to pull.
"We believed," he said, with a voice so strong,
"We knew we could, and we did, all day long."
And so the Wolverines, with their win so grand,
Proved that heart and grit, can conquer any land.
For in the world of sports, where upsets are rare,
Michigan's underdogs, showed that they truly care.
Their victory, a testament, to the power of the underdog,
A reminder that in sports, anything can happen, like a fog.
So here's to Michigan, and their team so bold,
Their epic win, a story, to be told and retold.

                      • GG Ohio State.
Didn’t believe M would win as mentioned on page 1 of the thread and I was wrong. A number of things went M’s way and the narrow win actually happened.

Ryan Day is probably not a right fit for the Ohio State job IMO. Day is probably a nice guy at heart, but has let this Columbus toxicity get to him. Unrecognizable tough guy act by a person soft as a marshmallow.
I didn’t see if Day tried to break up the fight. The camera showed him in frame with a shocked looked and I would assumed he said “what happened?” If that’s accurate, it would just add onto the case that he doesn’t have control.

What was with the Ohio State/ Chip Kelly play calling? When I was watching, seemed like they were trying to force the run and that setup several tough 3rd down sequences. Then the FG kicking + Howard’s INTs were killer.

                        Go Blue!
It’s truly shocking to me and I will enjoy the chatter.

                        • Congrats to Michigan I am a buckeye graduate but a big-time Lions fan who occasionally posts on this side of the forum.
Ohio State played right into your hands. They tried to play macho ball running the ball into the strength of your defense when they have three NFL wide receivers that they could’ve thrown the ball to .
you outcoached Ohio State you out physicalled them at the line of scrimmage the buckeyes needed to play Finesse ball.
I hope the buckeyes fire born on third base Day immediately and don’t make the playoff- although they are two and one against top five schools this year- they don’t even deserve to be in the playoffs.

                              A different era for sure.
With the internet and social media today, the rivalry feels like the two extreme political spectrum’s fighting each other in an actual sport.

I’m not a fan of how toxic Michigan vs Ohio State has become. Fault on both sides and the temperature needs to cool down. Not surprising to see this postgame fight happen.

I want my Detroit Lions to draft Sawyer BTW. Gritty guy.
