Sometimes you have to be more lucky than good. That applies here. I've seen very strong Michigan teams lose to lucky inferior teams. It happens. Last night, luck was on Michigan's side. After last year's results, I still consider Michigan to be playing on house money right now. Take the win, and move on. They're not winning a championship, but take this as far as possible.

Michigan beats TAMU 91-79. This time M wins as a 2.5 point dog.
On to Atlanta to play Auburn v Creighton winner. Most likely AwBarn, and it will be a mostly Awbarn crowd.
Still playing with house money. They're not supposed to be playing now."Never iron a four-leaf clover, because you don't want to press your luck"

This is the first full game I've watched. A remarkable 2nd half performance over came a 10 point deficit to win going away. Dusty May planned and his players executed using their bigs to dominate the boards - a TAMU skill set that didn't hold up against M. The acrobatic play of the Aggies, getting crazy ass shots to fall almost did M in. But M's advantage - aggressive play in the paint at their end carried the day. This is WOW!! win for M athletics. What an incredible job by Dusty May in his first year turning a moribund M basketball team under Juwan Howard into a NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 contestant. The other thing I noticed was the poise that M played with after being down 10 - no panic, solid play, great rebounding on the offensive boards for put-backs, key shots made both inside and (in the 2nd half) from the perimeter. Again, Just WOW!!!Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Michigan outscored Texas A&M 41-19 in the final 13 minutes. If you only look at the final margin, you might think Michigan won reasonably comfortably, but this came down to two plays in the final minute: Tre Donaldson's circus shot that went in, and Wade Taylor's three-pointer that didn't. If either of those plays goes against Michigan, the result could have been very different. Still, it was encouraging to see this team fight back in the second half.

You'd think M's match-up with the #1 Tournament seed, Auburn in Atl this coming Friday, will end M's miraculous run but Dusty May and his team of clutch players may just surprise everyone again.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. After the opening betting line appeared late Saturday after Auburn's win with M the dog at nearly 10 points, it's moved to 7.5 today. No time and station yet for the game on Friday in ATL.

I hope you beat Auburn. Do the Lord’s work.
M faithful: Expect to be absolutely shocked that Bruce Pearl doesn’t get a T for getting in the face of the refs and absolutely screaming at them. I mean over-the-top aggression.
Also, expect the Auburn players to argue calls with the refs and chirp at them to a degree that would get any other team’s player T’ed up.
I have seen Nate Oats get T’ed up for rolling his eyes and throwing his arms up (not kidding). Same game I've seen Pearl, red-faced, neck veins bulging, spittle flying and two inches from the ref (he was cowering). Nada.
The Auburn players aren’t quite as bad as their coach, but they get away with more call bitching than any other group of players you will see."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln

Anyway, just watch how Pearl handles the refs. I thought maybe it was just my homerism until I watched the Auburn-Creighton game. The announcers kept saying “”Bruce Oearl needs to be careful that he doesn’t get a tech arguing”
lol. That’s how I knew they hadn’t watched many Auburn games."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
