Speaking of USC, I hear their QB, Miller Moss, has entered the portal and wants to come to Michigan.

Taking a needed break from political and vote counting news, even though I said I probably wouldn't, I read the FFFF IU defense article at mgo. Another sad story of a dominating unit - this time defense. IU is 2nd nationally in run yardage defense. Michigan is a run-first offense that will want to lean on the ground game to set up Davis Warren's arm. It certainly won't be easy, not against a team allowing just 80.1 rushing yards against this season. So far, M's run offense play calling has been suspect. It lacks identifiable rushing concepts. IU is a run-stuffing machine led by Mikale Kamara and I don't expect M to get much on the ground given the chaotic play calling of Kirk Campbell.
Against a Michigan team that we have seen struggle in terms of execution and hurt themselves with mistakes, be it turnovers or penalties, it feels like Indiana could be ready to feast. That's about all that needs to be said. Credit to Alex Drain at mgo who writes the FFFF articles and from whom I plagiarized some of it.
One final thought. M fans got absolutely spoiled over the last three years and it is a shame that we're looking at this 2024 football team that appears to be so poorly coached. Yes, there are talent deficiencies at key spots on the roster but the biggest problem with this team is, IMO, deficient coaching. Deep into the season the execution of a good portion of fundamental football, like blocking and tackling among others, is missing. Since the end of RR/Hoke era, I've not experienced the feeling that Michigan is going to have it's ass kicked, in a humiliating and embarrassing way, by an opponent, in this case perennial BT conference bottom dweller IU. They'll be playing at home in Bloomington before a fired up home crowd serving as the Hoosiers "12th man". IU will join Texas and other BT contenders that have been relishing in delivering an ass kicking to last years CFB NC and in the end, "sticking M's nose in it."
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

While watching this game, remember that IU was 3-9 last season. Then to reiterate my big picture point… the difference in coaching and QB play. How IU will look like a smart and well running machine. Then compare to this Michigan season LOL.
At least this CBS 3:30 game always has great presentation. Wonderful job by their ‘A’ team broadcasting crew. That’s a positive.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill
