they needed to start the game with Tuttle, he started down 14
He's 7-14 for 78 yards and 1 & 2 . Entering in the 2nd quarter. Not earth shattering stats. Just a little better than total ass of the prior qb. In fact only 247 yards of offense vs. Washington is nothing to right home about.
The play calling is suspect for sure but the qb play is no better
Well, that was some pretty bad football. It will be a very uninteresting season as long as these coaches are in charge. Can't imagine winning a lot more games. Here we are half way through the year and what identity does the offense have. Just suck..
Nobody here thought M would win. Myself included. I was close with a predicted 24-20 win for the Huskies. I recalibrated later saying I doubt M will sniff 20. So, for me an outcome pretty much expected.
Tuttle does not appear to be the answer. His throw to Loveland that was intercepted was poor.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
27-17 is your final, as Washington rallies for the final 13 points after Michigan rallied to take the lead in the third quarter. Last week's performance was concerning. This one was infuriating. Between Michigan's continued ineptitude at the QB position and Wink Martindale's insistence on running his defense his way instead of adjusting to his talent, this was a loss that Michigan deserved but could have avoided. I can't blame Sherrone Moore for making the switch to Jack Tuttle-- it looked as though it was going to work. But Tuttle's two miscues decided this one, and they were both fully on him. Until Michigan can find a QB that can manage the offense and protect the football, this isn't going to get much better. I'm not convinced the offensive staff is much at fault for where this team at the moment. With all the new starters and the hole at QB, they've got a lot to overcome. But I think I've given up hope that Martindale is going to get the best out of the talent he has this year. If he moves on after this season, I'm not going to be disappointed.
