PJ could do advanced scouting and not keep it within 20...
      Shut the fuck up Donny!

Advanced scouting is fine. Buying cheeseburgers is not.

I really wish Michigan coaches would watch the Army/Temple game and see how a proper power rush game is played. How to use a big running qb properly. And Army has like 1 tenth the talent level UM gets.

But their arrogance would never allow them to go all the way, even though that's the only way to go with Orgii.

I think Klondike is right. I'd call it a baked in culture of toughness and tenacity in controlling the LOS and running the ball, ie., "Power." That concept pervades Schembechler Hall. I used the link below to refresh my understanding of what plays Sherrone Moore wants his offense to run and what plays probably got the most reps in spring and fall camps. I've seen every one of the plays listed in the link below in mgo's UFR Offense articles from this season with Orji as QB and last season with McCarthy as QB.

You can incorporate RPO and RO plays into fundamental power football. JJ ran them and Orji is running them. I think Moore has those plays and their variations in the play-book but they are secondary play calls. As long as the chains are moving and M has the lead, Moore/Campbell are going to default to power football running those plays in the link above. It's just the way it is.

We have seen some of the plays - admittedly, not many - run 4 games into this season at the ink below that details fundamental passing concepts. We're all aware that Orji is limited so we should expect that the fundamental passing concepts, RPOs and PA calls aren't going to be called very often. Moore is not going to change the kind of football he knows best. The hope is that as Orji grows and gains the confidence of the coaches to execute a called pass play or an RPO, we'll see more of that. Just don't hold your breath. M is 3-1 with all it's likely goals still attainable.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

The O/U on this game is 34.5. We truly are the Michigan Hawkeyes.

It's likely to be wet at game time tomorrow.......that won't make any difference to M who is Iowa. The Hawkeyes just rolled into Huntington Bank Stadium and crushed the Gophers 31-14 with Cade dialing up 62 passing yards to go along with 272 rushing yards - 90% of Iowa's total offense (334). The Gopher's have a new QB and showed an uncharacteristic number of passing attempts (22/37/202/2/2)

Expect the same sort offensive game from M. Don't expect Moore/Campbell to add new stuff to Orji's play-book for us to see and clap about post-game. This will be a Mullings/Edwards show and a repeat of M's game v. USC except USC is way better than Minny. You'll also see the same post-game complaints about the failure of M's staff to optimize Orji's skill set. They don't care about your complaints. This is Michigan so, STFU. The defensive staff also doesn't care you think they blitz too much so you can STFU about that too. Whatever the defense does v. Minnesota it's pretty clear the Gopher's offense isn't going to look good against M's D.

Just wanted to get you prepared.

Moore has already shown both last year and this that he will do whatever it is that Michigan is doing best to win ball games. Witness PSU '23. So like Jeff said, if Mullings and Edwards are having success running the ball, that's what we'll see. He won't care if the WR/TE rooms are upset about it. Its all about getting the winning poiints, and whatever it takes to get there.

Expect more of M v USC as long as it works. Especially if we're getting remnants to Helene.

Game time weather is calling for scattered rain showers, winds at 10kts from the east. Helene is getting absorbed by a low that spreads across the Ohio Valley so, she's about done as we speak and will be completely not a hi-wind factor at all. But, it's going to be wet for parts of the game. Fcst isn't calling for down pours just light rain showers coming and going throughout the day and unrelated to Helene.

Pretty much as expected so far. Michigan’s offense is less bad. 7-0 good guys.

I hope that Stewart and Johnson aren’t out for long.

Lucky IMHO on that turnover for UM. Shoilda been blown dead.

14-0 Kal-el doing Kal-el things. Way to make ‘em pay for that turnover!

Man this is some ugly-ass football. I wonder if we’re going to get to 31 once this year.

Michigan getting exactly the game they need. Blocked punt and another punch-in on a short field.

                                21-0 good guys.
