This team is better than 97 (no matter the outcome Monday)

Yikes! Nosebleed seats are more than $2,300 for two tickets. 50-yard line for about $18,500 for two tickets (plus fees, of course).

Yeah who’s buying these tickets?! Is it a combination of corporate and people that are well off? I recall my Dad getting free Colts tickets for working at a bank… would imagine that’s a big chunk of the attendance. A couple grand for 1 ticket is crazy.

I love going to games for the atmosphere and experience… such as Lions @ Packers being a blast a few months ago. At the same time, the best/ cheapest seat is the couch at home.

I did my due diligence and the cheapest get-in-the-door ticket I could find was $1,260 on Ticketmaster for 600 level endzone. If it was drivable, I'd consider it but the flights are a couple grand round trip, too. The cheapest lower bowl tickets start around $2,300. Factor in a hotel for 1 or 2 nights, food and drink, its easily a 4 grand total per person. That'll buy you a lot of fucking Cheetos.

Michigan vs best passer in college football. I think you will see a similar game plan to what Michigan did against CJ Stroud the prior couple years. Probably the closest comp based on the WRs like EE, Harrison Jr even 3 years ago with Olave Wilson JSN. Let's just hope the old adage Defense wins championships is true, (and travels well). I can say I think Michigan got special team nightmares out of their system. And that was vs Bama.

The biggest aspect of the game that isn't getting much attention is the Michigan offense vs. the Washington defense.

Average yards per game allowed is 243.1 (16 TDs) to 404.1 (44TDs) in Michigan's favor which is #1 and #94, respectively. Opponent's offensive quality/pace of play is a huge factor, of course, but you can't completely discard a disparity that great. Going with non-cumulative stats:

Washington gives up 5.7 yards per play. Michigan gives up 4.3.

Michigan is #1 in the country in turnover margin (+17), Washington is #53 (+2).

3rd down conversions allowed: Michigan is #12, surrendering 30.2%, Washington is #78 at 40.1%.

And where it matters most for the Michigan offense:

Washington gives up 4.4 yards per rush and allowed 21 rushing TDs. Very pedestrian run defense and they play in a pass-heavy conference.

Penalties: Michigan has been penalized the 3rd fewest times in the country with 40 for 367 yards. Washington is 129th (!) with 107 for 999 penalty yards.

Keys to a Michigan victory: Play a clean game (no more ST foolishness), run and possess the ball, bend but don't break on defense. Surrender explosive plays in the pass game between the 20s if you must but no 77 yard TD bullshit. IOW, the Ohio State gameplan.

Washington RB Dillon Johnson will play in the CFB NC game. He's had a nagging foot injury that he aggravated in the Texas game.

Washington running back Dillon Johnson gave fans a scare when he left Monday's game against Texas late in the fourth quarter with an apparent injury, but it…
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I’m surprised Dillon Johnson is going to play after being carted off. The injury looked bad.

It could hurt Washington if 75% healthy Dillon Johnson has a handful of inefficient carries. It’s like Penn State LB Abdul Carter trying to play through an injury vs Ole Miss the other day. Ole Miss exploited Carter because he clearly wasn’t the same.

Bowers and McConkey didn't do Georgia any favors against Alabama either.
