There is a lot of poetry in the matchup with Washington. It is fitting that future Big Ten and currently Pac 12 member Washington is the team to face. One last time the Big Ten and Pac 12 will meet for the national championship. I am sad to see the Pac 12 go away but getting to the national championship game after years of being shut out is a great way to go.

BTW if the top 12 playoff would been this year this is what it would have looked like:

I was watching the game with my son, and my first reaction to the last play was, "Did he keep the ball,.. does the QB have the ball?"

Saban couldn't resist one last jab in his post-game presser when he said, "On the first one we had a play called and had a good look, and they called time out... they must have known"

I'm sure we haven't heard the end of it. I'm expecting that to be one of the excuses Finebaum will use.

A little better ending this time.

He's still got his full uniform on, and the stadium is pretty much empty, so this had to be quite some time after the game ended.

I hope he made the team bus back to the airport!

To be honest came a wisker away of losing in regulation on that muffed punt. Easily could have been a safety or td for AL. I never thought special teams would fail them but the defense won the day in the end.

Finebaum actually said nice things about M. Maybe he talked to Corum or Sainristil last week and that enlightened him.

Yeah that was scary. M special teams was still stuck in the TCU Twilight Zone game from last season. Totally crapped the bed. 11 point swing in regulation due to special teams.
- Morgan muffed punt turnover that led to 7 Alabama points.
- Missed PAT due to a bad snap.
- Missed FG as Alabama’s kicker was perfect.
- Jake Thaw muffed punt at the 1 yard line.

I still don’t understand why M took a timeout after they kneeled the ball. One of the dumbest timeouts ever.
