I know you should never plan on Michigan winning a postseason game. Especially in the Rose Bowl.

When we had guys like Woodson, Carter and Touchdown Tim, we had the people in place that we needed. Those days are gone.
Hopefully, Nick won't run up the score."in order to lead America you must love America"

A month for the Nick to prepare. Hmmmph. I also like Bama's speed at wr. Just too much for UM. Kinda close on defense but UM hasn't faced the talent level once again. All those Big Ten and non conference teams minus OSU will show a terrible discrepancy.

The problem for Michigan is their offense vs. Alabama's defense. Our O-line is solid at best and that was before Zinter got hurt. Michigan couldn't handle Chop Robinson from PSU to the point that after 4 or 5 drop backs, they abandoned the pass game completely. It's fun to beat your chest about running it 32 straight plays against a very good run D but it was out of necessity and made possible by the fact that Penn State was no threat offensively. We won't have that luxury against Alabama.
Michigan runs for 4.29 yards per attempt which is good for 72nd nationally. Our WRs will be lucky to be invited to a training camp after the draft and will be facing 1st round NFL picks at corner. Nothing about the matchup of our O against the Bama D is encouraging. Nothing. The only thing that can win the game offensively for Michigan is if JJ runs for about 100 yards (70 on scrambles) and throws into tight windows for 250+ yards and 2-3 TDs.
Defensively, Michigan might look like they belong on the same field as Alabama. They will need to pick Milroe a couple times and be + 2 or 3 on turnovers to give us a chance IF McCarthy balls out of his mind.
IOW, there is no scenario where Michigan simply lines up and out-executes Alabama. The Tide defense wins pretty much every matchup with Michigan's offense. It will take a 2022 Fiesta Bowl "shit happens" type of game for Michigan to come out with a win. That ain't gonna happen against Nick Saban with a month to prepare.

You need to listen to Harbaugh. He said Milroe is just another Alex Orji. If I understand correctly Orji is your backup QB. He basically just said our starter was good enough to ride the bench at M.
Michigan is undefeated and a consistent betting line fav since the game was announced. M is #1 and it took a miracle for #8 Bama to jump 4 spots and sneak in the back door of the CFP.
Oh, we will fight like Leonidas at Thermopylae, but you must remember, despite the romanticism, The Gates fell, the Greeks lost the battle, and Leonidas was killed."The problem with quotes on the Internet is that it is sometimes hard to verify their authenticity." -Abraham Lincoln
