I’ll give you that it’s a down year for Alabama needing to beat the #1 team in the country in the season finale to squeak in as the 4 seed. That’s why I think we can keep within 14… IF we catch a few breaks.

That variance is what makes CFB so quirky. Bama lost out on a national championship with the kick 6. Lost out on another when Mac Jones’ easy TD pass was behind his target, bounced off his ass and went 100 yards for an Auburn TD. Then there was the bought-and-paid-for 2010 game against Cam Newton who came from 24-0 down to beat the Tide.

This year was karmic payback but it has nothing to do with the Rose Bowl and playing a team full of “try hard” guys.
