    • We're too young and have a one-dimension QB. You have already beaten one team above you on that list. The other is coming in a couple of weeks.

      • The other team is coached by a gigantic pussy, though.

        • And Saban is old. 72 and some change. Rumor is Fox has offered him $30 million to be a talking head. The once raging fire in his gut is now a smoldering ember. My prescience is, unfortunately, unchallengeable.

          • Saban can beat Michigan with his team and turn around and beat Alabama with Michigan's players.

            • That's a great quote. Originally (as far as I know) said about Coach Bryant by Bum Phillips.

              • (Although, the above may be apocryphal. Various people have said a variation of that quote about a variety of coaches.)

As I've always understood it, Bryant was the subject of the quote but I have no idea with whom it originated.

On a rather sad note, I just read both Athletic articles pertaining to the Rose Bowl. One is with 10 Big Ten coaches breaking down Michigan and the other with 10 SEC coaches breaking down Alabama. Tl/dr: We're fucked.

                    • Anyway, the clever McNulty wake post I made upthread (that Talent callously ignored) was a “Wire” reference. In it McNulty wasn’t actually dead; it was symbolic, he was just done with his current career and turning the page to something less …consuming.

After Harbaugh death-shakes this Alabama team like a Rottweiler with a bunny rabbit, Saban will slink off to Fox.

                              • Well, no. But, it was over the minute Ohio State hired CRD and sent the program into a death spiral. 5 years of disaster have ensued.
