Different context. The difference between the osu administration and M's administration wrt how they view their respective football programs is night and day. M's reaction to attacks is to surrender; osu's is to fight. Thus, you have two high profile employees - the HCs - behaving differently. Harbaugh being compliant, Meyer asserting he would not have accepted a suspension.

It is believed the Harbaugh fought the three game suspension for hamburger-gate and was not on board with withdrawing his complaint filed with the Trial Court of Washetenaw County against the B10 but went along with the legal advice to back-off from his lawyer. There was actually a glimmer of hope that under Santa Ono's leadership, M was going to shed it's surrender monkey past facing B10 penalties. Never mind. M's administration was directed by its regents to withdraw the complaint and they complied. This sort of thing would never happen at osu.

And that’s why Michigan will lose tomorrow.

I remember OSU pre-emptively firing Coach Tressel and voluntarily suspending UFM for 4 games.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
        Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

I think we all agree that JJ's performance is key to powering M to a win tomorrow. I also think the evidence by the numbers is strong that he's a very different QB, and not in a good way, w/o Harbaugh on the sidelines. In fact, the offense is much different, less dynamic, particularly in play selection, with Moore as HC.

I've read lots of analysis of how in-game management of Michigan's game flow is significantly perturbed as a result of Harbaugh's absence. Every team fighting to get into the CFB play-off has to be both lucky and effective at developing a winning game plan and executing it in game. M's conference detractors appear to have achieved their objective of derailing M's chances of achieving the goals they set. Derailed not because it's hard and M's hard work, could have gotten them to the CFP but because of irrational over-reaction by the B10, fueled by an angry torch bearing mob of conference opponents resulting in Harbaugh's suspension. Curiously, hurriedly and suspiciously implemented right before M's 3 biggest games to finish the season.

If Tony Titties had any gumption, he'd lift Harbaugh's suspension tomorrow. He could easily say that Coach has already served a 5 game suspension this year, for unproven charges (confirmed by the NCAA) and enough is enough. He could say that he wants both teams to be at full strength for the most important game of the season.

But, that would make sense, so we can forget that.

This is all about handicapping Michigan so that they do NOT win the conference championship game, and end up representing the conference in the playoffs. The coaches and AD's have colluded to make sure that Michigan loses, and is 'punished' for sins that are still unproven.

This has NEVER been about "the integrity of the rules". That's absolute horseshit.

They'll get what they want. OSU as conference champion, and in the playoffs. Michigan's JV's will play against the loser of the "Whats Left Of The Pac 12 Championship Game", and be beaten by about 30 points. Perfect ending for the conference.

And the CFB world will rejoice.

Ah yes, the Ryan Day memes.
Michigan fans are going to be obnoxious on social media tomorrow if M wins…

I will rather go with the gentlemanly route and avoid that. Win or lose. Maybe a Michigan win allows me to say 1 snarky comment and that’s all.

                Go Blue! Just win baby.

If Michigan wins tomorrow after the bullshit the conference pulled, every Michigan fan on the planet reserves the right to go completely apeshit.

I don't understand the choice of Moore as HC. Surely one of the other asst coaches is capable. That would free up Moore to totally focus on what he absolutely must do. Call a creative, balanced attack that addresses their weaknesses right now.

Well, pretty confident that both talent and myself have decided, in talent's case, osu will lose, in my case, M is the loser. Inside our scarlet and gray and maze and blue hearts though we're both secretly knowing our respective teams will win. Me because I know M's players are uber-focused and my secret knowledge includes JJ having his best performance in the 2023 season ..... and, of course, because M deserves a win against cryen ryan day. It's an exclamation mark directed right at osu, you mother fuckers for starting all of this because you couldn't beat M on the field the last two years.

Talent's secret knowledge is that he knows osu is really good, McCord will have HIS game of the season and osu will rap M's knuckles, creating talent's exclamation mark, YOU DIRTY, FUCKING, CHEATERS..

                        That is all.

Alex Drain does an excellent FFFF- osu defense. IMO, his concluding paragraph highlights what M has to do to win and what osu has to do to stop them from doing that. Key points:
                          • Attack osu's Outside LBs with passes to the middle zone. Targets for JJ include Donovan Edwards/Colston Loveland/AJ Barner. Force osu linebackers to respect them.
                          • Jim Knowles, like every other DC M has faced, will start out loading the box.
                          • Run Play-Action. The best ways to lighten the box is to have JJ hit Roman Wilson going deep (forcing safeties to back off).
                          • Test osu's interior OL with Corum running duo in the context of succeeding above.

Predictably biased but full of advanced stats that support Brian's evaluation of osu's exploitable weaknesses. These are osu's interior OL, McCord under pressure, OLB pass coverage in the middle zone.

                            Brian's prediction: M 26, osu 17.

It's quite evident there was a concerted effort to fix and end Michigan's reign of winning in the Big Ten.

In order for it to work, they must lose of course. If they don't, all of the efforts become anathema and backfire.

What a glorious win it would be..
