James Franklin being James Franklin and hands Michigan the win with that 4th down call.
Let’s be honest — it’s been over for the last 15 minutes. Almost identical to the OSU-PSU game. They have a really good defense and disgusting offense.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]? Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
That 4th down Allar pass has to be on the Mount Rushmore of worst live passes that I’ve ever seen. Joining 2005 Jeff Garcia Falcons @ Lions Thanksgiving moonball. Who was that even too?
Not to forget how going for it on 4th down was very questionable by James Franklin.
24-15 is your final. Game ball for this one goes to Sherrone Moore, for realizing Michigan needed to get back to smashmouth football to have its best chance in this one. Joel Klatt was exactly right--this was an incredibly disciplined job by Michigan's offensive coaching staff. They figured out they couldn't pass-protect one-on-one on the outside, so they stopped trying. Michigan won this game in the second quarter, by finding something they could do well and sticking with it.
Of course, an assist must go to James Franklin. You only go for two down nine if you're likely to get the ball back more than once. That was just remarkably dumb.
