49-0 is your final. Biggest win for Michigan in this series since 1947. That was immensely satisfying to watch. I'm still a bit concerned about the offensive line's ability to hold up against Penn State and Ohio State-- Michigan isn't finding the big plays on the ground they managed last year, and I think Michigan's OTs can be had by top-notch pass rushers. But those concerns were not relevant tonight. This was a complete out-classing from the opening kickoff.

Random Post Game thoughts
If you expected "classy Sparty" to hang around after the game and shake hands in a good sportsmanship gesture to Michigan, you've been disappointed. Almost all of them headed for the tunnel. Well, I guess that figures. They have a thing for tunnels.
That's why I'm not a fan of 'handshake lines' anyway. Why make a defeated foe shake hands if they don't want to? Go to the locker room if youi can't be a gracious loser. Better than throwing your helmet.
That has to be JJ's best performance of the season, and probably of his career so far.
Harbaugh did the hand off again. Good job, Coach. The Media doesn't deserve a second more than you are contracturally required to give them.
Heard at the stadium "There's an Orji in the endzone".
No, I don't think Michigan ran up the score. And even if they did, I don't care. MSU didn't hold back their scoring when they were dominating Michigan. Dantonio and Narducci took pride in their thuggery and bullying. No sympathy. None. IMO, Sparty is still due a few more whippings from Michigan.
Corum didn't play a lot. He was out early in the 2nd half.. Hopefully its just a preservation thing and not an injury.
Good to see Barner get a TD. He and Loveland had great games.
Once again: .. this bears repeating:... If McCarthy has played a better game in his career, I'd like to be reminded of when it was. He was deadly tonight. I don't think I've ever seen a M quarterback with the running/throwing/elusiveness that this young fellow shows. I hope he throws everyone a huge curve ball, and stays for his senior year. Yeah, that's selfish on my part, but I don't care. I've seen way too many bad M quarterbacks in the last 20 years. I'd like to enjoy the ONE good one for a bit longer.
Mike Sainristil is a baller. He shouldn't be as good as he is, but he's dang good.
OL and DL still dominating, and so far no significant I-word. (I'm not going to jinx them)

Just a dominant win tonight. You know the tunnel incident had to be motivating. JJ was on FIRE, best game I've seen from him. Just the sheer talent and elusiveness was incredible. That man is more dangerous outside the pocket than inside. The defense was relentless. I was so pleased that even though we had backups in at the end of the 3rd quarter, they didn't give up points. This is a complete football team. Watching the OSU/PSU game today I was thinking, M is better than both of these teams. They showed it tonight. GO BLUE!

A humiliating drubbing on a rivalry opponent. Cashed the accountability check for the tunnel incident last season. Cherry on the top was McBurrow's INT. The offensive game plan going in clearly had the run game playing back seat to the passing game - I believe this may have been the most pass heavy offense M has put on the field in my memory (35 pass, 34 run, 357 y, 124y. TEs had 13 targets and 12 completions, WRs had 9 targets and 6 completions. It was pretty obvious that Moore designed and executed a game plan that featured the TEs (a Harbaugh specialty wherever he's coached) in the underneath zones.
I believe this is a direct result of how defenses have been defending M. I've posted about that here plenty, and, no surprise, MSU's D sold out to stop the run and run blitzed heavily. The point is why try to run into a brick wall. What Moore designed and McCarthy executed in this game sends a message to future opponents, if you want to play cover 1 and cover 0, zone or man, to stop our run game, go ahead, make my day, We will punish you with throws to our TEs into the zones you have to vacate to play those coverages to stop the run.
The M coaching brain trust is designing a game plan and calling plays based on what the defense gives them. IMO, this is a shift from stubbornly trying to run into 8 man fronts to wear down an opponent or prove how tough the team is - another Harbaugh trademark that accomplishes little more than burning downs. With the generational QB he has, JH may be actually letting go of both those tendencies.
I'm just not worried about the OL play in the run game. They continue to provide the blocking to convert third and short and to stuff the ball across the goal line in GTG situations. There's enough 1st down run plays that, while they are not exciting, get the offense into second and 5-6, then third and short - the prefect spot for the OC to be. The entire playbook is available to move the chains. What fans are missing is the big Corum or Edwards explosive runs of 2022. But given the efficiency of what appears to be team 144s MO on offense, that may be purposeful. More time to practice passing plays and less time spent installing and practicing blocking schemes at the second level that are essential for success with explosive run plays.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Maybe some locker room board fodder in a few weeks.

I heard James Franklin say that, he also said during the week Penn State has played Ohio as well as anyone in the last two years --- ? huh Does he know the results of the Michigan games lol
Just when you think things couldn't possibly get worse for Michigan State football and their HC fired for jacking off, getting blown out by Michigan...
The athletic department had to apologize about ADOLF HITLER being on their scoreboard tonight. Worst University in the US

Very impressive win. I don't care that MSU was out gunned. So what? They deserve a few more whippings. What goes around comes around."in order to lead America you must love America"
