Take the points this weekend. Our performance ATS when we play Michigan State has been dismal, and that's putting it lightly. MSU will very easily cover 24.5 points. I think that we'll win a game that is very not fun to watch.
And let's just get that damn win and get out of there.

I think Michigan can cover that number. They scored on 7 straight possessions in last year's game against a better Sparty team than the 2023 shitshow they'll trot out Saturday night. Problem last year was we settled for a bunch of FGs. If a couple of those were TDs, you go from 29-7 to 38-7 and the perception that that game was ever competitive goes away.
I figure Sparty will come out with their hair on fire since it's the only thing they have left to play for. They might even score and make it look like a game in the 2nd quarter but then Michigan will just wear them down. This has the reverse feel of those Hoke teams who were "dead man walking" into EL (the stake game) and you knew we were gonna get obliterated. This time the shoe is on the other foot. I don't expect McCarthy to throw a 4th quarter pass.
There’s been some weird and unexpected results in this series as of late. Credit to MSU for their wins in 2017 (the monsoon/ John O’Korn sucks game) and 2020 (the Rocky Lombardi moon balls game).
I honestly think this year is different. M gives me the perception of this year feeling special with JJ at QB… this defense… plus the incredible depth that the team leans on.
Same old story... I HATE this week! Sparty has absolutely nothing to play for besides beating #2 Michigan. Liney wasn't the Desmond trip the same story?
That was 1990 and Sparty ended up having a fairly decent team that finished #16 after a Sun Bowl victory over USC. It was still goddamn pass interference, though.

It sure was. And it was admitted by the Big Ten Commissioner on the Monday following the game.
MSU's Eddie Brown later admitted that he grabbed Desmond's leg, because Des had him beat, and it was the only thing he could do. The ref's buried their flags, and he got away with it.
