Random post-game thoughts:
52-7 is your final. And I don't think Michigan has played its best game of the year yet. Still a lot of areas where they can improve.
Tuttle got a TD but not to Barnhart. Rats.
Tom Allen is one of those 'rah rah' guys, and I just don't like him.
I hope Michigan just absolutely WASTES msu. Just destroy them. Flatten them. Leave a smoldering crater in the ground.
I'm still upset with Hart for taking out Edwards and letting Corum score that TD in the first half. Edwards got one later, but he deserved the other one too.
Those halftime adjustments are still working. I'm going to miss Jesse Minter when he leaves in the off season. Sherrone Moore too.
Lets enjoy what we have this season. I think there's something like 17 starters leaving, and a total of 33 seniors. Plus we may lose some NFL eligible juniors as well.

I got distracted during the week and never predicted a score. Mainly due to disinterest.
Wiz came pretty close at 48-7. Considering the offense scored 52 points in really shitty conditions is noteworthy. Of course the D gave multiple short fields to the O gaining 5 turnovers and 8 TFLs that ended IU drives.
The rest is nit-picking but I think the 3.9 YPA on 42 attempts stands out as a more serious systemic problem. Moore has to figure out how to deal with teams that play C-2 then blitz one of those DBs or C1 and bring 6 or more. It's frustrating to see none of the RBs getting to the second level with any consistency. Jansen doing analysis for M radio said one of the problems in the run game is giving up too much lateral pursuit from an unblocked free hitter. Maybe one of the post game reports at mgo will illuminate what's behind this but it's a big deal IMO. IU also racked up 7 TFLs. I don't think M has given up any TFLs up to today - maybe 2 - credit to Tom Allen who is a very goad defensive coach and did some rebuilding of the defense through the portal. IU's new OC did not impress. Some early success on offense but, man, that got shut down in a hurry as M started creating pressures of their own on the IU QB and stuffing run plays before they got anywhere. It is very hard to edge M's D - a Minter trademark this year.
Of course, the homers will say the run game doesn't matter because JJ is slinging it and M is getting solid play in the run game GTG and short yardage plays outside the 20s. Those homers don't understand football. In the BIG, you have to be able to efficiently run the ball. I'd rather see a steadier run game with more explosive run plays rather than JJ getting it done through the air and with his legs. He took a hit today on a run up the middle exposing himself by twisting for extra yardage. That's not his role and an injury to JJ would seriously threaten M's run to championships.
MSU, M's next opponent just gave up a 3 TD lead to give Rutgers an impressive comeback 27-24 win. That hurts. Talk about a soul crushing loss that will carry over to next week. I still get nervous about playing MSU in EL. Weird shit happens playing MSU at home or away. You know the list. Harbaugh's job for next week is to eliminate or plan on mitigating weird shit. Rutgers ran the ball for 114 yards at a 4.5 per attempt rate and overcame 5 frigging turnovers to win that game. I'd like to see M break 200 yards rushing next weekend and rack up a more respectable YPA than what they've been getting this season. Did I mention I hate 7:30 pm kicks? Hate them.Last edited by Jeff Buchanan; October 14, 2023, 03:12 PM.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Right, just like last week, the defense is credited more with the 52 points. The offense is frustrating to watch sometimes. Leading rusher is Hall?? with 50 some yards.
When the weather gets even worse with cold and rain and whatnot, the run game has to step up vs. PS and OSU.
