Usually root for IU to have success due to that’s where I have my degree (went to Purdue for 3 years and then transferred + finished at IU)… but let’s be honest. This won’t be close.

Forgot to post this earlier: M opens as a 34 point favorite, the O/U is 47.8.

John U. Bacon tweets that Michigan "insiders" he's in contact with have told him that Harbaugh will have a contract extension within the next 2 weeks that makes him the highest paid coach in the BIG. I wonder if their counting Tucker's ridiculous salary now gone.

Similar sleepy start for M as the first four games of the season. Anticipate this going full “boa constrictor” as usual.
Georgia was down 0-7 to Vandy. M down 0-7 to IU. Bored!!

Tyler Morris with a couple nice catches though. Would be huge for a 3rd WR to emerge.

Random halftime thoughts

It absolutely S.U.C.K.S that Hart pulled Edwards out on that last TD and put in Corum. I love Corum, but EDWARDS got the team there. He deserved to run it in. Sucky move by Hart.

Michigan is on a 21-0 run to end the half.

Looks like the defense is starting to cover those seam routes, Wouldn't shock me to see another pick or two if they keep running them.

That UC call earlier on had to be one of the weakest I've ever seen.

I hope Jack Tuttle gets to throw a TD pass to Barnert. And I'd love to see Tom Allen's face when it happens.

Some mild props to Indiana. They came to play. They play us tough in spite of the overall record against M

That's happened a few times already where Edwards got the offense there yet wasn't in there at the goal line, that's how you end up with Edwards playing against us instead of for us next season.

Outside of Michigan homers, decent analysis pointed out that IU will field an offense that has not been seen. That's because Allen fired his OC and brought on the former head coach of NIU. M got beaten on several 1st quarter IU drives, one culminating in a long TD with a nice fake by IU and an M defense that bit on it. At that point we were looking at the shit getting kicked out of M on both sides of the ball and an M offense out of sync. M did have a nice INT with IU driving for another TD but, consistent with the out of sync M offense, they could do nothing with that. The 1st quarter game stats were greatly in favor of IU.

Starting at 2:03 left in the 1st, M scored three consecutive TDs, two of them on 11 play drives. McCarthy started hitting plays. The 2nd quarter stats had M gaining 170 yards and IU 25. M will take the 3rd quarter KO and could plant the dagger with a drive ending in a TD. M has to deal with a defense keyed on stopping the run - every team does that. I'm not sure Moore has produced the blocking schemes to do that. That's born out with M's unimpressive yards per rushing attempt (1.7)
