I just read Fee-Fi-Foe Film, a return of a usually great analysis of the weekend's opponent, if not excruciatingly detailed. UNLV comes to town running a unique offense named the GoGo offense. Their OC is the godfather of it. IOW, it's his invention that for the last decade or so, has appeared in parts or in whole on a bunch of teams where he's had a coaching job. He's now UNLV OC with the authority to put all of it together on the field.
It's a spread, up-tempo, basketball on grass offense that features elements of the triple option. There is a ton of miss-direction with a bit of power and deep shots fit into it. Michigan's defense has never seen anything like this. UNLV, according to the mgo article has "no talent." I'm always skeptical of takes like that. Taking the players in the context of this unique offense may very well make the skill players look awesome. IOW, the offense will succeed (or fail) with frippery not raw talent among the skill players or OL. Also, M's defense needs to spend a good deal of time in the film room preparing for what the Rebel's offense does so as not to get jobbed by big plays. Watch out for the triple option - always a tough play to defend against.
My opening post included a score prediction of 45 - 10 not based on any description of UNLV's offense. If anything, UNLV's offense could spring some big plays and score a couple of TDs ...... or, M's defenders bring such a huge talent differential to the field, the D will just overwhelm and swallow up the frippery.
