Word. If you watch a decent variety of stuff then your wallet is already majorly taking it in the ass, and now the B1G is essentially trying to shake you down for more mulah. This comes at a time where the base subscription for something like DirecTV has conitinued to skyrocket. I wonder how much longer they can get away with the "charge more, provide less" business model.

I haven't had cable in 8 years so I don't mind carrying a few streaming services. I have Prime TV which is included in Amazon Prime anyway. Then I have Paramount+ (primarily for CBS football broadcasts) and Peacock. I think for the latter 2 I pay like $13/month combined.

They roped me in with a couple Michigan hockey games last year but I ended up liking it enough to justify $6/month. Really enjoyed Yellowstone.

Edit: that 1995 Michigan game was on PASS but was tape delayed until 10:00 pm.

Yep. And with the writers’ strike it’s gonna be a long time before they finish off the series. If ever.

It gets harder the closer you come to the present day Yellowstone, because the ability to manuever gets reduced.
2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

Well I keep Direct TV for two reasons:

                  1) When I looked into getting TV beyond the antenna. I called Spectrum and I was told that I would have to get an underground permit for 600 feet from where their last line was and have it installed BEFORE they would send techs out to hook it up. I figured that was 2-3k so the hell with you. I was not going to spend money for the privilege of DISH charging me more money on top of that.

                  2) Direct TV has the sports that I wanted and I could lock in the price for 2 years. DISH had less of the channels I wanted and Direct TV had a couple my mom really wanted. So that is where we are. Yeah, the package is expensive but rarely does it not come in perfect and in the winter too (which is a big deal in Northern MI).

                    Agree about WR.
Think we all know what to expect out of Corn Johnson and Roman Wilson. Though with Wilson taking on the #1 jersey, he better step up! Hoping we see a different WR unexpectedly standout. Such as Clemons, Dixon, Morris, O’Leary, or a freshman. M should have quality receiving production from the RBs and TEs to help out here.

As for JJ McCarthy. It’s on him to improve his accuracy and processing of information as a passer. With experience now on his side, no excuses! I have high expectations given his talent.

99% of all shows run out of material after 5-6 years. Even Breaking Bad and the Sopranos last season were not as good as previous years, but you had to watch to see how Tony and Walt were going to die (along with the supporting cast). John Dutton has had enough, my favorite scene has to be the bikers on his land.

ECU will probably be more accustomed to those temps.
With so many players banged up I'm not sure if I will pick to cover. Both starting safeties out and 2 CBs. Harbaugh and Minter both said they are going to play as many players as possible, look for the bench to be emptied out by halftime - like Harbaugh promised Tommy Chang last year.

As M embarks on it's road to the BIG 10 Championship and CFP v. the ECU Pirates the first quarter will demonstrate what the flavor of M's offense will be this season and whether the defense has improved it's anemic 2022 pass rush.

M has all the pieces for a terrifying offense. The question in the opener is will Kirk Campbell, the OC with Moore sitting this one out along with JH, be greenlighted to optimize his weapons setting the tone for the 2023 offense? This is Harbaugh's team and undoubtedly Harbaugh designed the game plan v. the Pirates. Will play-action and real (not fake) read-option be featured in this game as a prelude to an identity of M's 2023 offense? Or will Harbaugh continue to prefer, in signature fashion, bludgeoning opponents with Corum and Edwards featured in a strongly run oriented offense? Importantly, what will M's red zone offense look like. In 2022, there was way too much run the same play into 8 or 9 defenders in the box over and over in the RZ when it's clear defenses knew what was coming and stopped those plays cold.

Other interesting things to watch are M's Stanford transfer at C and the edge rushers on defense. Replacing Olu Oluwatimi at C isn't going to be easy. On defense, McGregor and Harrell will probably start, but Stewart will get some run thanks to his ability to pressure the quarterback. It can't be anything but better in 2023 as it was awful in '22.

Finally ST. M's two best kickers went to the NFL. Worth watching v. ECU although, if things go the way they should go, we won't see M's ST lining up for FGs.I think M covers easily but the questions above and how they are addressed bear watching.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Do you figure UM wanted to be on Peacock? Do they make money from being on Peacock?

No it's because NBC wants more games on Peacock $$

I think NBC is banking on lots of M fans buying their Peacock app for at least one game. Even if a million sign up for just one game, that's $5.99 each, which is nearly 6M revenue for just one game. They're likely hoping they can hook a few of those to stay longer than one game.

Right, they have other games only on Peackcock like Sparty/ Washington and a lot of NFL games (playoffs also).

Tomorrow's game - I want to see Loveland open up room for the receivers.
