dpatnod in the Lions forum told me about this site a few years ago when I decided to quit paying for the Sunday Ticket.

    https://www.vipleague.la/

I use it for football and college basketball when I want to watch an out of market game or a game that is only available on a streaming site that I don't have

You need an add blocker or it is unwatchable. I use a chromebook with Ublock Origin. I have a VPN, but don't always use it.

When you click on the site you will see this page. Click on American Football

Screenshot 2023-08-28 12.40.26 PM.png Clicking on American Football will bring you to a page that lists all of the day's games (it will update for later games)

This is today's slate. (there are no games)

Screenshot 2023-08-28 12.45.56 PM.png Click on your game and this will come up (this is from the baseball page for demonstration)
    Screenshot 2023-08-28 12.48.08 PM.png

Click on one of the broadcast streams and your game should come up. If it doesn't work click on another until you get one that works.

I connect my chromebook to the TV with a HDMI cord.

I've been using it for quite a while and have only had a few problems.

    You're welcome.
I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

I bought the Peacock Network thru my smart TV, and I'll watch the game there. Its $5.99 per month, and I can cancel anytime. I spend more than that on gas to go to a game. I may keep it a month or two to see if I like it or not.

Peacock has too many games to list, but most are also on NBC, I already have NBC. I'll probably pause Peacock after the Michigan game and MSU/Washington game (only on Peacock) there are some shows I want to watch for the new season, but not sure if they will be on due to the writer's strike.

Ironically "Peacock" is also Mrs. Liney's pet name for liney...

With Kirk Campbell named the OC for this game it will be interesting how much JJ airs it out.

I hate to do this 4 days out because I don't trust Weatherman till one day out, but (possibly) it's going to be 85 and sunny for the game.

Broiler Bowl ...... yes, Liney will attest to my love of the heat and intense dislike of the cold. But the first 2-3 games can be horribly hot and it looks like the wx for this one will be just that. I won't be there and slid my visit to Ann Arbor to the 3rd and 4th games hoping for more moderate temps.

Temps for the opener on the field will get into the 90s and if it's humid, you have wet-bulb temps that get really uncomfortable. Add no breeze and sitting in the lower bowl is, well, a broiler bowl.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Yea, if the air temperature is in the 80's the field temperature will be over 100. Its going to be very hot on the field. ECU will probably be more accustomed to those temps. Michigan's summer has actually been quite mild, as compared to the rest of the country.

Can't you get a free month of Peacock as a trial? If so, it's probably worth doing that the day before the game.

UM wins but doesn't cover. 41-17. ECU isn't good but I have no doubt that they are better than CSU, Hawaii, and UConn were last year.

Unlike just about every other year since the early 90s, I haven't followed the fall chatter. My interest in this sport is at an all time low. I haven't heard who is taking over for Oluwatimi at Center and whether the new guy is any good. Haven't heard much about the WRs and the passing game either. Defense last year had some issues that finally got exposed in the bowl game. Hopefully, they'll be better.

Center is supposed to be filled by that grad transfer from Stanford. Name escapes me. No drop-off from the o-line is expected. WR is my biggest concern.

The guy coming in from Stanford could be really good and there still be a dropoff from Oluwatimi. He was by far our best center since Molk. Maybe the best since Steve Everitt.

McCarthy's horrible accuracy also concerns me.

                            Nugent.

He was honorable mention all conference each year he was at Stanford.

This is the first Michigan football game not on linear TV since the 1995 Miami (OH) game.

Yup. But even that one was on a pay channel (IIRC) that had the Red Wings and Tigers, so you got something out of subscribing to it. Peacock? Pffftt. Michigan vs. ECU is literally the only thing that I want to watch on it.
