With this ifo I think he will be suspended for TCU
I don't think so. The charge sheet containing the details we heard today was probably just released to the public. The U most likely knew these details that were "shockingly" and "breathlessly" released by the press today. Old news. I'm surprised it wasn't the Freep that broke the story.
Still, I was worried the U would cave to media pressure on Mazi after the charge alone and without these details became public knowledge. They didn't. I suppose the U could force JH to suspend him. Wouldn't surprise me but I think this has all been worked out with full knowledge of the circumstances we just learned about. What's probably more revealing to me is that, as far as I know, he wasn't arrested at the scene given all the ammunition allegedly in his vehicle. Did the cops just write a summons and let him go?
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
My finger is inches from the ban THE-WIZARD button. KYR.

Corum had surgery on December 3rd. 28 days between the TCU game. 37 days if M plays in the national championship game.
Reporter Allison Williams did specifically mention “meniscus” (surgery) during the Big Ten Championship game for whatever that’s worth. Would love to see him make a heroic comeback, but who knows. Maybe M can give Corum a huge NIL deal to return in 2023! Financially take care of Corum for life with the deal.
…
Jesse Minter snubbed! Hopefully this fires up Minter to be on his A game.

To suss this out a bit, it is conceivable that Corum suffered a bone bruise to the outer knee that was not as deep (periosteal injury) as initially speculated and it has resolved.
Any kind of lateral to medial force stresses the MCL which is anatomically connected to the medial meniscus. You could clearly see this and what appeared to be a hyperextension mechanics injury in the video replays of the hit. That gave rise to conjecture of an ACL or Meniscal injury. An MRI would have revealed microtears to the meniscus prompting the need for an arthroscopic repair after swelling resolves in 2-3w. The timing of the surgery and the comments that Cody reports above fits this speculation.
Arthroscopic Meniscal repairs are so commonly performed these days that they are not more debilitating in the post surgical time frame than sewing up a superficial laceration of the skin. Immediate post surgical mobilization, a week of crutches and 2 weeks of PT usually permits a return to routine athletic conditioning. It may take time for full healing but an athlete can return to full activity in 4-6w to see how it goes. We've seen this in several knee injuries in college athletes. That's because arthroscopy has become less and less invasive over time and there is very little collateral injury to surrounding tissue with this surgical procedure.
I'd say it's possible he could play in a championship game in January, a stretch that he could play v. TCU and TBH wishful thinking that either of those things will come to pass.
