Surprising. I think he acted on your input and delayed until later. He'll be there.

There's a fascinating article in the NYT's this morning revealing that the M/OSU rivalry has been around a lot longer than previously thought .....since 1922.
Fielding Yost found out that OSU's star QB, Noel Workman was ineligible for the upcoming M/OSU game because he had expended his eligibility (it was 3 years at the time) by playing at a small West Virginia school in 1917. Workman had reached that limit with one season in West Virginia and two at Ohio State. The final decision to disqualify Workman was made by John L. Griffith, the commissioner for the Big Ten, who was responsible for enforcing eligibility rules. M won the 1922 game 19-0.
It's paywalled but it is exceedingly well researched and neither of the two schools were aware of this history. Dan Dierdorf who was interviewed for the NYT's piece, laughed uproariously when he was told about this and said, "well, isn't that just too bad. It just breaks my heart for Ohio State."

Go Blue!
Fine weather for The Game. All of the nasty weather pushed to the evening/ tomorrow. Let the best team win.
For the M injuries, I’ve seen some rumors. Hard to say what’s true. We’ll know for sure during warmups in 2-3 hours. I’m guessing they all give it a go. Safer assumption that Morris, Schoonmaker, and Keegan are ready to play. The injury status for RBs on both sides questionable. Adding in Ohio State potentially without RG Matt Jones.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Fox and ESPN are both reporting "Corum will play." But we knew that or should have known it.
What we don't know is how effective he will be. We won't know that until a few M drives into the first quarter.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. Klatt says keys to an M win:
Outrush OSU. Control the terms of the game. Limit the number of snaps for CJ Stroud. OSU's last two losses came at the hands of temas that di just that.
Limit explosive plays. Hold OSU to under 7.5 y/pp
Force FGs in the RZ. Teams that beat OSU hold them to 66% TD % or less.
Keys to an OSU win:
Play better defense than last season's loss.
Outphysical M. Klatt believes M's roster is prepared and can play more physically than OSU.
Execute in the RZ. Poor execution in the RZ is why OSU lost to Oregon in 21 and had a difficult time with PSU in '22.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. Injury reports are popping up from credible sports reporters. For OSU JSN will not play, Henderson and starting G, Matthew Jones is Questionable, Myan will play. Thamel reports Edwards will play. With regard to M injuries, most of these reports are stating pretty much the obvious. Of course they will play. All of the reports lack details on limitations ... I suppose the only people that know that are those at practice the day they wear pads - I think that's Thursdays but that was Thanksgiving day so ????Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished.
