You can get to the parking area any time, I think. Even if they don't have someone out collecting money, you pull in and park and they get you later (it's a small lot). They should have someone there by 530 or 6, but, like I said, don't be deterred if there isn't. And, even though it's small, it won' fill up until past 8. Most people who park there are NOT tailgating. There's a giant tailgate that hogs up the nicest part of the big greenspace, but there's ample greenspace for anyone else. The other thing is that it's a relatively quiet in that you won't have a bunch of foot traffic. Only downside remains shitter distance, but they're easily walkable and the woods across the street is even moreso.Originally posted by Jeff Buchanan View Post
So, the only "lawyer" thing I'll say is that what I've described is the way it's been from 2012 to 2021. I tailgated there in each of those years (except 2020). I haven't tailgated there in 2022. So maybe the rules have changed -- I highly, highly doubt it. And I walked past the area on my way to the Notre Dame game and appeared same as it ever was.
