Pretty much my feelings exactly. A younger version of myself would have been on pins and needles all week for a game of this magnitude. Now I feel like its a slog to the execution chamber. 2016 killed 90% of my enthusiasm for this game and 2018 took the rest. We're OSU's brown jug game now. Every now and then Michigan will pull out a win but that will only be a couple times a decade. Is what it is.

I agree completely. Shoot, in the 80's and 90's, I would have been inviting my brothers over to watch the game. I'd be trying to figure out what to have for snacks, and when I'd have time to go to the store to get everything I need. But that 2016 game did a lot to me too. A victory sitting there for the taking, and then it disappeared like a puff of steam. The game where O'Korn launched a jump ball down the middle, straight to an OSU receiver with over 2:00 left on the clock, and M only needing a TD to pull off the upset really killed me too. Especially since I was on the event staff, and had OSU fans on both sides of me, screaming all their 'osu' chants straight into my ears. Right in our stadium, nonetheless. I admit, that hurt a lot, and not only in my eardrums.

Despite their sandbagging, Mssrs Talent and Strangelove predicted these days would come. And here we are.

No sandbaggery from me. Sticking with my 24-17 M wins prediction. You’re telling me there’s a chance that there will be wet conditions? Gotta believe for the first win in Columbus in 22 years.

Just curious… would Ryan Day be on any sort of hot seat if OSU loses to M on Saturday? 45-4 record as HC, but it would be two straight losses to M.

I think Mssrs Strangelove and Talent likely have a better feel among OSU fans, but from where I sit, I think there'd be a lot of heavy duty grumbling, but not a real move to replace him. I think he'd get at least a couple more shots at Michigan before the drumbeat of "fire him" would gain traction.

OSU fans are very spoiled right now, and I don't really mean that in a bad way. They're a lot like we were in the 80's and 90's when M was regularly beating OSU, and the thought of losing to them was almost funny. We were spoiled by our success. That is where OSU is now. In their minds, last year's M win was an anomaly, and this year will set things straight. If it doesn't, there will be some grumbling. But even if M wins, CRD's job is safe. We're not getting rid of him that easily.

Supposedly, Fickell could go almost anywhere, but he seems to like CincyTucky. He's had chances to move on, but he's still there.

Fickell has no need to leave UC and there's only 1 job he'd absolutely leave for.

I don't know about CRD. If he loses this year then he loses next year and that's 3 in a row. And that's fireable.

Not sure if it's sandbagging if your siding with Vegas, Talent is a different story, he know more.

Talent's sandbaggery is legendary. His prickery is as well.

We’ve got the better run game by far, assuming Corum and Edwards play, OSU has the far better pass game. Classic match up.I’ll be optimistic and say good guys 27-24 in a nail biter.
I read a poll yesterday taken of a large sample of UCLA and USC players relating to their attitude about moving to the B10. Most of them approved (like 55%), but of those who did not approve the reason given was overwhelmingly because they don't want to play in cold weather. If you watched Ole Miss v Arkansas this past Sat, you saw what cold did to Ole Miss. I'd love for a big bowl to be played in MN or MI in late Dec.

It's gonna be fantastic when the playoff moves to 12 teams with first round games at campus sites.
