  • Clearly better if these games go back and forth. My introduction to this rivalry with OSU winning 15 of 16 was depressing. These last two wins are unheard of for Millennial and Gen Z Michigan fans.

    • I see this win as a seminal event in M football's history. What it does is mark the potential end to OSU's dominance of the BTE during the years when M football found itself in a self inflicted wilderness for a decade. The coincidental absence of perennial players, Alabama, osu and Clemson, from the CFP is something to make CFB fans stand-up and take notice. The disruptive Jim Harbaugh has arrived on the scene.

      The coming of a 12 team CFB play-off will see all three of these teams return and probably excel. They all have too much going for them right now and I don't see any of them entering a dark period although their fans, especially the spoiled children of ohio, would disagree with me .... end of the world after yesterday's demolishing of their beloved scarlet and gray buckeyes by the Champions of the West Michigan Wolverines.
      Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

        I am well acquainted with the feelings of ohioans this morning. I've had many of the Sunday mornings like they are having today. Their team is just fine. If they are the organization they say they are (and the organization I believe they are), they will figure this out, and be one of the top contenders for the conference title, and playoffs next year. In fact, I believe our own Mr. Talent has stated that next year is the year they expected the next wave of young talent to come of age. I'd expect nothing less. They are leading the conference in recruiting (again) as well. These are not 'dark days' for osu. The well has not run dry, like it did for Michigan in 2008. This is still a potent team, and they're adding to it again with the next recruiting class. They're not going away.

        ///end ohio praise

        And finally the HARBAUGH!!!! is a reality. We're finally seeing the guy we hoped we were getting back in 2015. Its been a long and difficult road, but the program is finally back to being competitive for the B1G Title, and playoffs. One other random thought I had yesterday was I wonder how many of the Baltimore Ravens staff were watching yesterday, and smiling along with the Wolverine staff. Michigan's defense is a college version of what the Ravens run, and John Harbaugh has had a hand in getting Jim past the Don Brown days. The brothers' tag team has been a success.

        But as good as Minter has been, I'm still upset with John for taking MacDonald back.

            That's not what I said, but he's the one we're stuck with.

            And today, that seems to be okay.

                                I can't remember two lopsided UM victories back to back in this series - ever (and I watched pretty much the entire Bo-Woody era). What you are seeing is just modern day football.
                                I mean think about it. UM lost their starting C and they get a Rimington Award finalist in the transfer window.....
                                What should have been a weakness going into the season turned out to be an improvement over last season.
                                Just a different era entirely.
