    • The DPI on the final was too egregious not to be called. Kudos to the ref there. The “catch” by Johnson should have been overturned but that FG would have been good from 40.

I’m still just flabbergasted by Harbaugh’s end of game management. Michigan was extremely fortunate to overcome that stupidity.

      • Definitely defensive pass interference.
Now some pushback. This was definitely offensive pass interference on Loveland during the preceding play. No call. Lucky M

          • Michigan has been victimized by non calls as well. And lazy officiating.

I'm not confident M will get a fair shake this week, but I don't think it would make a difference anyway.

                • Wiz -- serious officiating question.

What if a team has a designed pick play, but the guy being 'picked' runs into his teammate instead?

Throw a flag anyway for intent?

                    • The only reason I thought it an obvious pick is because the M TE was blocking the DB from the jump. He wasn’t running a route that caused a rub. He blocked the DB into a pick.

Again, I don’t much care. Whether M wins or loses yesterday doesn’t matter at all to me. The equation is still the same. But, I did think it was obvious—like it stood out to me in real time

                      • Welp, we won't really know till Saturday. From what I have read today, from people who know injuries better than a fan like me. It looks like Blake Corum has a mild/moderate ACL sprain. Will not play

The only way you can know this is from an MRI. I'll call bull-shit on that one - unless an inside source or tech that ran the MRI and then sat next to the radiologist that read it has seen the MRI results and leaked it (highly unlikely). He may or may not play, that's for sure but, that is way too precise of a diagnosis to be believable.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

The fact you are even asking me such a stupid question leads me to believe you were not a ref.

                            • What the officials are looking for is who initiates the contact If the receiver comes out and clearly blocks on the defender and the other receiver cuts off that block, then it's offensive pass interference. It's a quick judgement call and a tough call. There is no "pick play" reference in the rule book...much like there is no "over the back" in hoops.

                                How about this one?

Corum has spent the day today out and about in the Ypsi area, handing out Thanksgiving turkeys with his NIL money. No crutches, braces, etc.

I'm not saying that means he'll play and be 100%, but it doesn't sound like they're getting him ready for surgery either.
