There's not much to analyse or break down this win wrt football. You saw it, I saw it. Players make plays or they don't. M didn't for 96.6% of the game, Illinois did ..... until with something around 2 minutes left, 3.4% of the game, they didn't. M did.
This is important .......WIsh I could review Corum's MRI this evening. He'll have one. Guaranteed. My sense is that he has an ACL injury alternatively and MCL or LCL injury. The MRI will clearly define what it is. The thing is, you can walk, you can run straight ahead, you can peddle on a bike but you can't cut with an ACL injury. An MCL/LCL injury is more limiting and usually more painful. You'll get bleeding right away into the knee capsule with a PCL injury and it will show up within minutes as bruising if there's a complete tear. Because of how the lower extremity is compartmented, any blood from a tear or separation will leak down with gravity to the ankle/foot. No bruising at the knee or in the ankle/foot, the less significant the injury.
Alternatively Corum could have an MCL or LCL injury. I can't tell definitively from watching replay. After seeing Chase Brown's injury last week and watching him play today is encouraging for Corum. My gut tells me he'll play next week but not at 100% So, we'll wait and see...... probably after January because we're not going to know shit from the submarine.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

WTKA radio post game interview with Harbaugh (Jon Jansen): "Looked like no structural damage." Jansen: "How's Blake doing?" Harbaugh: "Blake wanted to go but .... hesitation .....there was some bruising." That says a lot - see above.
So, treatment? Dunno man, usually sprains and strains take a couple of weeks to heal enough to return to athletic competition. But it's a lot ice for the immediate after injury treatment to cut down on swelling and bleeding. That he wasn't wearing an icepack on the sideline is a bit curious. He'll get whirlpool, heat and Ultra Sound treatment combined with range of motion exercise starting tomorrow. At first, no weights, then the PT could add that in. If this is a non-serious strain of any of the knee ligaments, he could practice late week, depending. The Thanksgiving Holiday makes this a weird week for practice. We know it is, we won't know the impact.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off.
