Chase Brown is dressed, warming up and will play.

Looking cold and windy as the game is previewed by BTN. Some final thoughts: While I'm skeptical of the Illini's defensive rankings which are reflective of the absolute shit offenses in the BTW, it remains to be seen of what kind of control M's OL will exert on the illini front 7. IMO, it's going to take some innovative play calling from M to get the Illinois defense out of the shoe box their going to man with at least 8 hats and at times, inside the 10 on GTG, 10.

I'd like to see a passing game that gets McCarthy constantly changing his pass release point - PA, roll outs and waggles, 3 and 5 step drops to quick throws into the zones vacated by LBs along with some RO plays where JJ uses his legs. Jet sweeps and throws to the flats that work the edges will help.

That may not be necessary if M's OL dominates but, my sense is that while M will try to out-physical Illinois up front it's going to be a numbers game they will lose until they force Illinois to widen their defense. On injuries:

Per Jansen: "Injury update: Out today vs. Illinois, Trevor Keegan, AJ Henning and Donovan Edwards. Warming up and will be game time decision, Mike Morris, Luke Schoonmaker and Makari Paige @UMichFootball #GoBlue #JustWin"
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Agreed. There is no better time to loosen the reins a bit on McCarthy and see what he can do. You can do that without taking unnecessary risks.

Not today - WIND 19 mph. Good news on Morris and Schoonmaker who has filled in nicely (sit them).... Just think if Eric All didn't get hurt? Would have been one the best TE in the country.

Wait, Illinois is missing 3 DB starters? JFC. Name your score game.

Brad Robbins has not been good all year.

Ouch. Hope Corum is ok. Will be lucky if that’s not a torn ACL with Corum grabbing his knee right away like that.

JFC. Hate to see that. Hope he’s back next week. Looks like hyperextension to this not a doctor in any fucking way guy.

                      Really sucks.

Typical 1st half for our boys. Hopefully it will also be a typical 2nd half.

Corum is done. That's a probable ACL tear. Hyperextension mechanism of injury.

M's MO in spades in the first half: fast start, 7-0, further M 1st half possessions dog-shit. M leads in the stats, doing a good job defending the Illinois run game v. an obviously limited Chase Brown. Unjustifiable zone D pass coverage giving up easy first downs to Devito on 10 yard cushions by the CB.

Really doesn't matter nor do I care about the outcome in this game. M has very likely lost a key piece in their offense with Corum out, chances of beating osu drops to zero, CFP bid unachievable.

After a one year absence from the predictable dong punches of the past reborn in 2022.

Corum isn't replaceable if he's out, just when the rest of the team starting to get near full health. Not sure if M can even win this game without him.

More likely than not, torn ACL. Hope it’s just a hyperextension. I’ve seen it both ways when athletes immediately grab their knee like that. Off of the top of my head of similar looks: ACL (Jameson Williams, 2021 National Championship Game), hyperextension (Giannis Antetokounmpo, 2021 NBA Playoffs).

                              EDIT: Yes, this:

I’d be surprised if it’s ACL. Corum is great. But Edwards is really good. If they get him back for next, which they will, they’ll be ok. Without either would be an issue.
