MSU had had plenty of chances during the game to act like thugs, and were flagged accordingly. And then they tried to get into it after the game on the field. MSU has also run up the score on Michigan in the past, and lord knows they've done their share of taunting and smacktalk. I'm betting that some of them have already in their lives also experienced watching another man skip, or had someone wave goodbye to them. They can grow up and act like men about all of that, or they can suffer the consequences if they want to act like children and have tantrums. Which it sounds like some certainly will. And should.
The thing I'm wondering here is, if Michigan had extra security in the tunnel last night as reported, what were those people doing other than collecting a paycheck? There wasn't much security; and there were people with badges just standing there. Apparently one of the videos was filmed by the mother of a recruit. That person could have gotten seriously hurt. (That person was also pretty brave. You can see some MSU team official in her video beating a pretty hasty retreat as Gemon Green was getting bashed with a helmet.)

I would say running away while one of your players is beating a kid with a helmet is a hasty retreat. New video shows Tucker there in the tunnel watching then punching a door, then he said he didn't know anything at the post-game presser. Just like Dumtonio a F'ing Liar - Four players should be just a start. Tucker’s anger management issues permeating team culture, acting like a fool all game on the sideline as well. Blood runs hot with these two teams more than any school in college.

Off the bat, Tucker suspends 4 players. Assuredly, he was under pressure from up high to do that and do it quickly. Accompanying statements do not rule out additional suspensions. The statement includes a line that there is an investigation on going that will look at "events that precipitated the incident" suggesting that MSU might argue that the assault was a result of insults hurled at MSU players by M players - that won't and shouldn't fly.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

My closest friend is an NCAA basketball referee and former star basketball player at Calvin University. He has another perspective on this "incident" which in hindsight makes me wonder why I didn't think of it. Simply put...he lays partial blame at the feet of Michigan's AD. The big house has only 1 tunnel. In highly emotional games like this you have procedures in place whereby only 1 team is allowed in the tunnel, both entering and exiting the field. To enforce that, you have troopers at/in the tunnel. Pretty simple.

They've also been using that same tunnel for 95 years and this is the first time, to my knowledge, that there has been felonious assault.
EDIT: Allowing only 1 team in the tunnel at a time is easier said than done. At halftime the teams are separated and the visiting team goes in first and Michigan follows. But after the game is a different story because you have players and coaches from both teams milling around on the field, shaking hands, etc. The teams aren't grouped together like they are during the game. You're talking about a few hundred people between both teams' players, coaches, and game day staff that go up that tunnel after a game. It would be like herding cats.
Maybe Sparty should just refrain from acting like the fucking thugs that they are. Doesn't seem too difficult for other teams.
This is Penn State post game.
And this is at halftime when they were jawing at each other. As you can see, the teams are separated with the officials and some police between them.

Sparty fans are at they are 3-5 have lost their super bowl and are defending players assaulting Michigan players and blaming it on a tunnel, but Bush cleating the field back in 2018 is far worse. Nothing like seeing msu & osu fans team up lol - - Wiz you don't count.
