It fits the old pattern of appearing to be surprised at what an opponent has been doing all season long. Indiana's bread and butter is the pick plays. It looks like Michigan is surprised that Indiana is running pick plays. And yes, pick plays are legal if they are run right. Its Michigan's fault that they aren't defending them
So now, every future opponent is jazzing up their playbooks to run pick plays against Michigan, knowing they can't defend them. Penn State says thank you.
They better figure it out, or they're going to make a lot of people in the Big Ten and Fox Sports very happy today.
And regarding the officiating. This crew is the most flag happy crew in the Big Ten, and has been for years. The WH who takes a step when he points has always had a crew like that. I'd say its fine to be flag happy as long as you're calling it both ways. Micro-officiate to your hearts content, as long as you do it both ways.
I don't always roll a joint, but when I do, its usually my ankle
This is Tom Allen being aggravating. IU has done the best scouting of M's offense out of most opponents I can recall. A lot of IU's success is being generated by tempo and an air-raid type of play calling going fwith a shit-ton of pick-pays. In a different way, this looks like M facing Army's triple option - the defense is getting schooled.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
